Feirmeoir

After a few uneventful days of travel, we arrived at a farmers settlement. Behind us were grand fields gilled with grain and others filled with livestock. I couldn't read the sign but I got a notification that told me what I needed to know.

{You have entered the safe area known as Feirmeoir, no acts of violence are permitted in here. If an act is commited, the perpetrator will die.}

Good to know, it seems that the system still had functions I did not know about. Then I wondering if I could turn the forest into a safe zone I found out that I could but that I shouldn't.

Any living creature inside above a certain size was affected even if they belonged to the area. It would mean making my animals unable to hunt because they would die otherwise which would lead to them starving.

I could however choose a smaller area so if I ever wanted to build a house I could create a safe room inside to keep someone safe if necessary.

"Won't they mind how I look?" My eyes were filled with fear. I didn't want them to take out their pitchforks and torches and chase me away.

"No, as long as you don't break the rules, you are allowed in. There are certain nations that prohibit entry to humanoids and intelligent monsters but this is not one of them. I think it's because the royal family has both monster and humanoid blood running through their veins but I'm not 100% sure."

The town had a very german aesthetic. It's people were all pretty small, though muscles could be seen through their veins. I could also see a few monsters and humanoids walking around.

Turns out Don could be considered humanoid so I had technically enslaved something that was close to a human, think about that for a while and it will fuck with your brain.

Some humanoids looked close to humans except for small changes and others just kept the body shape.

I could see the normal animal eared people, something that resembled a Gorgon, then you had those whose body turned half animalistic like lamias and then I saw people who had bird bodies shaped like humans, and the most astonishing thing, a lobster in a mage outfit holding a staff that was made of a red crystal with a blue core in the centre.

Diana pulled on Aella's cloak like a small child. "Is that a Scholar Lobster? Is it mom?"

Aella sighed, I would later learn that Diana would fangirl over every new race she met, especially if she had heard a lot about them.

"Yes and no, it's not at tier ten yet but it is on that path."

"Wait ..." I looked closer at the lobster, and sure enough, I was right. The staf should've given it away but the specific embroidery on his robes is what made me realize.

I walked towards the lobster at a fast pace. Nagi tried to stop but even at his strenght, if he didn't want to damage me he wasn't strong enough to hold me back.

"What are you doing? That's a Lobster, probably belongs to the Scholars society. If we piss off that group we are instantly fucked."

That's when the lobster saw me, he waved at me and ran straight towards me before hugging me.

You'd be surprised how hard a lobster can hug, at least a lobster humanoid.

"Lizbeth Johnson, fancy seeing you here, I though you weren't leaving that forest for at least another year. I can see that you are finally done digesting the light core. I love the new look by the way. And who is this group that seems to be following you around. Are they harrassing, do I need to use my authority to chase them away?"

This was all said in the span of thirty seconds, I couldn't even answer one question before the next was asked. I had luckily gotten used to this after he stayed in the forest for a whole season.

"Wow, wow, Terry, just calm down. I was going to stay a little longer but the system forced something on me and now I have to protect this little girl."

Everyone was extremely confused at the sight of a Lobster hugging a stone being. People all around us were staring at us. Diana was the first to react.

"Hello, my name is Diana. How do you know Lizbeth, are Scholar Lobsters really the strongest mages, how do you hold stuff with your hands and why the robes?"

Truly, Diana might be a bit slower but the difference in talking speed was nearly negligable.

"Hello Diana, I'm Terry, it's very nice to meet you. This here is my wand Terry Jr. I know Lizbeth because I stayed in her forest for a while when people had tried to kill me and I was gravely injured, I still owe her for that.

It is true that my kind produces the strongest mages, although we don't really know why since you'd expect dragons to take that throne. They are second to us. I do have hands, they are hidden by my claws, you'd be surprised how usefull it is to have these claws, I've escaped many perilous situations with them.

And the robes, why wouldn't I be wearing any, Liz here isn't a humanoid so she doesn't need to wear them but I don't like people seeing my naked. "

I don't know what was more impressive, how fast he could answer or how fast he could ask questions.

Because people were obviously trying to listen in on our conversation we moved to a busy tavern and continued our conversation there, enjoying a good meal and some beer.

"So, Terry, what brings you to Feirmeoir?"
