I went to the underground alone, my uncle somehow met General Chu of the central control who manages to secure the central region of the country and the palace. He was too occupied therefore their might be a big problem that the kingdom should make preparations for. So I continued my way till I reach the first door which is guarded by two bulky soldiers.
"Princess" both of the soldiers bowed in recognition of me
"Is it ready?" I asked
"Yes princess, even Prince Yang and Princess Yin came to watch, General Manchu is waiting at the center of the arena" I nodded as I head towards the underground station
I was met by butler Guo.
"Princess are you really sure of this? If something bad happens to you the emperor won't let us live. Princess--"
"Don't worry about me" I smiled at him and reassured him that nothing major will happen
From the imperial palace library, General Manchu is the second strongest person in the battlefield. His father served my great great grandfather before and he was the strongest in this kingdom. But because of old age he passed the duty to his son, and retired from military to accompany his wife.
Now his son General Manchu replaced him. He lead the army and not once have lost in a war. With this record he was meritoriously awarded by my grandfather. He is now in his early fifties with one wife and five children who sooner joined the military.
"General Manchu, sorry to keep you waiting" I smiled as butler Guo gave me a sword that was formerly used by my mother when she was training herself before
"It's nice to see you again Princess, this old man is lucky to spar with the princess. I was once your mother's mentor." He smiled but I know he was in pain
As I've heard, he was once a great general who fell in love with a princess. He loved my mother greatly but he gave way when the emperor decided for a marriage alliance between two kingdoms.
It was a sad story for the knight in shining armour who lost the Princess that he loved the most.
"It is actually a great honour to spar with my mother's mentor"
"Ahahaha this child really... shall we start?"
I nodded and saluted in courtesy before we proceed.
