The Goblin hunt/ first Sync

The cool spring air blew through the window, as the birds chirped joyfully outside his room.

I thought that blue dot in my vision was a side effect of the summon but it won't go away, maybe if I splash some water on my face it will go away.

"Status activated!"

"What was that?"

This is an interesting sight to behold, I never thought I would get a system like, in video games, this gets me so excited.

"Excuse me Aran sir the Princess and her remaining loyal companions are ready for you," Elliot exclaimed from behind the wooden door.

I guess I will have to examine my status later, I better go meet my new allies.

Stood in the center of the silent throne room is Aran who moves into a kneeling position before offering the first words.

"Nice to meet you again Princess Mira."

"Huh are you here to accuse us of something else." Mira blurted while gazing daggers at Aran.

She is still mad about what I said earlier, I better choose my words wisely.

"Please don't be like that Lady Mira." Replied a middle-aged man who was standing next to the princess who looked to be in his 50s, dressed partially in silver armor, with a strong presence around him.

"He said our nation was the reason we are in this war between the Panate Empire, I should listen to a word he says."

"I know I have deeply offended you, Princess Mira, I would like to apologize and by doing so announce my allegiance to your kingdom in your fight against the empire," Aran announces with the most innocent smile he could muster.

"I think you should give Sir Aran a chance, he was just summoned to an unknown world and requested to help save our kingdom which he has no attachment to."

"If you say so Elliot, I will accept him."

She holds Elliot in extremely high regard.

"But don't go thinking we're friends, great hero." Mira dictated as she elegantly flicked her long golden-brown hair around.

"Excuse Princess Mira for there is trouble in the Gretder Forest." A man said as he burst into the room.

He looks like he just ran a marathon, with his heavy breathing and excessive sweating.

The man explained that he and 7 other soldiers were patrolling the forest when they were ambushed by goblins and forced deeper into where they found refuge in a cave.

"If you are here why couldn't the others come back with you." Aran Implied with his hands on a steeple.

"The reason I am here is that they distracted the goblins so I could have enough time to send for help."

I might not know what a goblin is in this world but in mine, they were low to mid-level creatures in video games easy to kill a small group but a whole would spell trouble, I learned that the hard way.

"If so we have limited time before they are taken out, Captain Colet are you able to dispatch some of your squad to save them," Elliot asked the man standing guard next to Mira.

"I am afraid not most of my Knights have been sent on a scout and I can't leave the princess's side, the only people available are the rookie knights."

"It would be too risky to send them."

"I will go and save those knights trapped in the forest," Aran announce with great confidence.

This would be a good way to test the skills I saw on my status.

"Are you sure," Elliot asks with a hint of concern.

"Yes, and I will like to take the rookie knights with me, Captain Colet."

"If all I ask must be that they return safely, I entrust their safety to you."

Aran bowed his head to the response to his request.

"What are your thoughts, Princess."

"I have no thoughts of the situation I am not familiar with fighting monsters, so I leave it to you and Captain Colet's Judgement."

"What!!"

"What's wrong sir did you spot some goblins." A boy around Aran's age replied as he readied his bow.

"No, I was just surprised at how vast the Gretder forest is," Aran said as he blinked rapidly.

Got contain my inner thoughts, but I can't believe I have no attacking skills and my attack is so low I can't hurt a fly with these numbers, I will have to do with what I have It's not resources but resourcefulness that ultimately makes the difference.

"Why did we even follow him, hero or not he looks like he has never held a sword before." The knights whispered among themselves as they berated Aran.

Crack!! The sound of broken twigs echoed, causing the rookie knights to instinctively grabbed their weapons in fear.

"Wait don't attack it's us." three knights dress in weak metal armor confirm.

"How did the scout go," Aran asked as kept unwavering eye contact with them.

"They are in a cave at the mouth of a hill surrounded by the goblins on one side we estimated they're 179 Goblins and One boss Goblin."

There are fifteen rookie knights excluding the scout team 7 spearmen, 7 swordsmen with shields, and 1 Archer this should do for now.

"Well done scout team, everyone prepares it's time for some goblin hunting."

The moment those words were spoken the Rookie Knights felt a chill.

"Yes sir!!" They unconsciously shouted in unison.

"His plan of peering up the spearmen with the swordmen is working as the swordmen defend the spearmen and wait for an opening where they could attack from the further back while swordsmen attack from close up its not bad for mitigating any casualties." The boy with the bow thought as he looks down from the hill.

"That must be the Boss Goblin attacking the lost knights, you know what to do," Aran commanded.

The arrow flew at a rapid speed on target to the boss goblin, in an instant it swatted the arrow out of the air, revealing Aran and the archer's location.

"Its reflexes are that fast," Aran whispered with wide-open eyes.

In no time the two on the hill were surrounded by armed goblins, pushing them further back with each step.

"Strategist special skill activated Clear Plan!!"

"What?" In Aran's mind, he saw a vision of the whole area becoming visible with a bird's eye view of everything around him playing out.

Rings of blue lights shone around Aran's pupils as whispered "Sync."

"Archer aims for the boss goblin now." he urged.

As the archer aimed his arrow a glow of light shone around him but due to his intense focus, he was unaware.

"Sync skill: Thunderous shoot." They simultaneously declared; the arrow flew from the bow at blur speed piercing the boss goblin's heart instantly.

The goblins began to cower in fear not only because their leader was defeated but their numbers were trimmed drastically.

"Woah what was that power just now?"

"It was a skill I used just now to enhance your potential."

The archer looked at Aran with a confused expression.

"In other words, I used the hidden skill locked deep inside of you that's my theory." Aran clarified.

The sync skill and enhance powers up allies that much, I have to test this out to figure out its true extent.

"Me a Rookie commoner knight can reach that kind of power." The boy wondered

"If you trained hard enough, who knows, but for now let's regroup with the others."

The boy clutched his broken bow more tightly than ever before.

That's it let that fire burn inside of you.
