002 Esme

*Esme POV*

She see a strange human walking in her forest as she try's to get a good look at his face but every time she gets close to looking at his face he turns away. 'What is this human up to every time I'm near him he goes in a random direction.' She continues to follow him for around 3 minutes then she sees that his guard is down.

She sees her chance and strikes quickly warping around his arm with her vines as she gets ready for a fight. But to her surprise she feels little to no resistance from him. 'Does this human not see me as a threat' She gets slightly annoyed and says "Who are you filthy human?"

The man stays silent as he just stands their without saying a word a bit of fear appears in her heart. She wraps vines around his legs make her grip tighter then she shouts "WHAT IS YOUR NAME HUMAN!" she shouts to try and calm her self down while facing down this human.

Then all she hears is a voice that sounds cold and uncaring to the world saying. "My name is Vorn what do you want?" Her heart stops for a second hearing that cold voice scared her and she can no longer even think straight. She panics and snaps his arm in two and gains some confidence back as now she shouts "HOW RUDE FOOL MY NAME IS ESME AND IM THE RULER OF THIS FOREST AND IF YOU DONT EXSPLAIN WHY YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL PERISH!" She is thinking to herself 'Heh this human cant even defend himself I bet he's just some noble brat.' Then she shouts "TURN AROUND AND LOOK AT ME WHEN I AM SPEAKING TO YOU VORN!"

He becomes silent as now the air around goes cold as she unravels him in her vines then he quietly says. "I cant turn around for your own safety Esme" As he says that her face becomes smug as she thinks to her self. 'Oh yes this is definitely a noble brat.' And shouts "DO YOU THINK IM A FOOL I AM SCARED OF NO HUMAN AND DO YOU THINK I AM AN IDOIT YOU CANT EVEN LEARN PETRIFACATOIN NOW TURN AROUND." in a mocking manner.

Vorn is quite again as he slowly says "Are you sure about this?" then Esme smiles and trys not to laugh at him and then fails "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH YOU THINK A HUMAN SCARES ME I AM THE GREAT ESME-"

He turns around and the confidence that she once had was shattered as she see's his face. His face looks cold and crazed his piercing red eyes staring into her very soul as a small smile creeps a long his face. He looks like the people who killed the dryads while she watched and laughed while her face was covered in tears when she was young. Bad memories fill her mind as she just stands their not able to move and inch.

*Vorn POV*

I look at Esme and I don't know what to do I would normally be wearing a mask but it's already to late. 'Well s***...I should just leave.' I look at my broken arm and see that it's covered in blood and is bending the wrong way I think to myself. 'Damn those graphics are so realistic and damn the pain setting is higher than I thought I gotta turn that down later.'

I procced to walk away from the crying mess that is Esme. "...wait" I hear a tiny whisper from Esme as I turn around to see her slowly get up. "...I'm sorry for the arm...how about we talk this out..." I don't know what to say as I look at her.

"Ok"

Its a word that I always use if I don't know what to say good old reliable. She look at me and says "If I fix your arm will you leave." I look at her and I'm about to say yes then I have a thought 'Wait a second...She probably knows where the next town is.'

"Ok first fix my arm then tell me where the next town is... Esme."

I may have forgotten her name for a second so I paused right before I said her name and had to remember. But in the end it made it sound creepy and she took a step back when I said her name. She looks at me and her voice becomes shaky as she say "...o-ok b-but I-I-I need to t-t-touch you to heal you v-v-v-v-vorn."

In my head I say to myself 'HOLY S*** I JUST TALKED TO A PERSON LETS F****** GO' I walk up to her and sit down with a smile on my face. She looks at me and with her arms shaking she put her hand on my head.

"..."

For a second I feel nothing as I am waiting for something to happen then I feel an energy flow through my body. Its a nice feeling and I feel it go to my arm as I hear a soft soothing sound as I feel my arm getting fixed.

Then it stops as I feel more energetic then I ever have in my whole life and I cant stop smiling. I get up and look at Esme then ask. "Can you tell me where the nearest town is Esme?" She look at me then points in a direction and says "Over there around 10 miles away is the nearest town...so please leave."

In my head I scream to myself 'F*** 10 MILES' I try my best not to look annoyed and start to walk off. "Goodbye Esme." I say while looking away as I start to head off. Esme looks at me and says to herself. 'I have had enough today I'm going home.' And she takes the long way home to avoid Vorn.

*20 minutes later*

As I'm walking I get bored I mean yeah their is the occasional bird or squirl but nothing that catches my interest. I get bored and open my menu and see that there is a small number over my status icon saying 99+.

"...oh"

I press status then I see a bunch of blue boxes with text appear in front of me "UHHHHHHH." I start reading some of them then I see.
