Kidnapped?

Grace rushed into Corolla's office without knocking.

"Ma'am, Kylie's missing" Grace said out of breath.

Corolla knocked her leg on the edge of the table in a haste to get up.

"What did you say? Where? How? When?" Corolla was agitated and trying to calm herself. She told herself it must be false news. Her baby girl is safe, for sure.

"The nanny said that she left on her own and she did not know where she went to" Grace replied her.

"Get the nanny here now!" Corolla shouted. Why did she hire a nanny is she can't take care of a child.

Grace brought the nanny in. The nanny was crying.

"Ma'am I left her only for a minute and I turned back, I did not see her again" The nanny continued crying.

*You left her for a minute?? A freaking minute and you're here telling me she disappeared??" Corolla was angry, very angry.

"I'm sorry ma'am. It's all my fault" The nanny's crying had reduced a bit.

Corolla turned to Grace,

"Have you informed the police?" Corolla asked. She had collected herself.

"Yes ma'am. They have been contacted, her picture was sent to them" Grace replied.

"If she was kidnapped, we'd have to wait for them to call" Corolla sighed.

Corolla sat down and sighed.

Jeffrey's car pulled up in front of Claud Corp. Stephan got down and opened the back door. Jeffrey got down and held Kylie's hand. They walked into the building together with Stephan and a group of bodyguards behind them. Everyone was watching them, thinking they looked good and at the same wondering when the King of the South, Ayden Cummings had a child?!? Everyone was going to be raving about it. They walked into the elevator and pressed on the button for the top floor and put in the pin he swindled out of the secretary when he called. They got to the top floor and Kylie removed her hand and rushed towards her mom's office. Jeffrey rushed after her.

"Slow down and don't hurt yourself" Jeffrey shouted after her.

Corolla sat down on her chair and was trying to think and strategize.

"Ma'am, the king is around" Grace spoke up timidly.

Corolla rubbed her head and was wondering if she had to deal with him now. Ughhh...for once, she hated her work.

"He's already on our floor" Grace spoke up again.

"How did he get the pin?" Corolla looked at her.

Grace bowed her head.

"I'm sorry ma'am, he told me that you forgot to give him the pin and that you weren't picking up his calls" Grace said apologetically.

Before Corolla could reply, the door was pushed open,

"Mommy!!" Kylie shouted and ran into her mother's embrace.

Corolla hugged her back in surprise. Tears formed in her eyes but did not fall. She hugged her tighter when she thought of how anxious she had been.

"Baby, how'd you get here?!" Corolla asked.

"It was the uncle that you talked to yesterday" She turned around searching for him when she saw the nanny.

"Nanny, why'd you leave me?" As she asked this question, the door opened again and this time, it was Jeffrey.

"Good day Ms Fanners, I picked up your daughter at the side of the road, I believe I deserve a Thank You!" Jeffrey lifted his chin. He knew his charm, he knew everyone was clearly looking at him, entranced.

"Thank you Mr Cummings" Corolla pursed her lips.

She turned to the nanny,

"Thought you said you left her only for a minute?" She looked livid.

"I..Ii...I di...did maa... ma'am" The nanny looked nervous. She looked from Corolla to Grace to Ayden.

Before anyone could react, Corolla grabbed her neck, squeezed it hard and asked her in an hard voice, "Who sent you?"

"No one ma'am" The nanny replied coughing.

"I said, who sent you?" Corolla squeezed harder.

"No one" Corolla increased her strength and squeezed harder.

"Your father" The nanny spluttered out.

"My father? What is his aim?" Corolla asked again.
