Chapter 8 - Queen

I slowly opened my eyes feeling exhausted. A white ceiling and an unfamiliar smell is the first thing I noticed. I was pretty sure this was not in my pack. Nothing that was unexpected. The room looked decent with a queen sized bed that had white and black checkered cover, pale pink curtains, the floor carpeted with black carpet. On one side of the room was a sofa and on it, sat the devilishly handsome King with black ripped jeans and a faded ash t-shirt. His hair was a mess giving him the rugged bad boy.

I could just fuck him right now.

Breaking out of my desirous thoughts, I looked up at him to see that he was already staring back. It was quiet.  He didn't seem to shoot questions or get angry as I expected him to do. All he did was give a blank expression that I knew hid lots of emotions.

"Why didn't you fight back?" I asked, deciding to break the ice. He leaned back onto the sofa and shrugged his shoulders, a I-don't-give-a-fuck vibe emitting from him.

"I could have hurt you if I fought back."

"How did you know it was me?" I frowned at his response. I would barely be able to make out anything about that person in a situation as such. Curiosity was eating me out.

He kept mum not giving me an answer and just then the door opened revealing Silvia with a trailing Hayden behind her. She entered, giving me a warm smile.

"How are you feeling?" She asked sitting on the bed beside me.

"Good." I replied, realising that I didn't have any headaches and my body felt much energised than I expected it to be.

"How long have I been out for?" I leaned against the headboard from my sitting position.

"A couple of hours. The sedative worked well." She joked and I smiled actually thankful for that. Otherwise, Xason would have been dead by now as predicted.

"Since I am feeling well. We can leave after an hour or so." I said, wanting to get away from here. I just wanted to go back and relax without the thoughts of Xason interrupting me.

"You are going to stay here." Replied Silvia. I gave her a quizzical look.

"What do you mean by that?" I questioned, straightening my posture. My voice unintentionally rising.

"She means that you will be staying here till you properly heal. I can't have you shifting like that and try to harm pack members." Explained Xason in his all business voice and just like that my temper sky boarded.

"I am not your slave that you are going to talk to me like that. And I won't stay here! I have healed enough to be able to survive. I don't need more time!" I glared at him. Did it look like I intentionally wanted to hurt anyone? He was getting pissed, I could say that. Even though he had his infamous expression on, his eyes that were burning with rage gave away everything.

How easy it was to piss him off.

"You will be staying here." He ordered. My wolf bowed her head in submission but I was not the one to give up.

"Both of you can leave now." They bowed their head in submission and quietly went out, leaving me alone with this inhumanly sexy person.

"I don't want to stay here." I muttered, not having the energy Nor the mood of fighting back. He turned around, standing at the edge of the bed.

"You don't get to decide things in my territory." With that, he was out of the room. Leaving me to sulk in my own misery. I laid down, feeling fatigue hit me and went to sleep.

My life fucking sucks!

I woke up the next morning and it felt so good to have a long sleep like that after ages. The door opened and in came Reece with a suitcase in his hand.

"Good morning, Alpha." He greeted, placing a suitcase on the couch. He was dressed in some sweatpants and a tshirt that was a bit drenched probably with sweat. It was nearly around 7 so he must have been working out with the Warriors.

"Morning, what's in that suitcase?" I questioned.

"Your clothes are in there." He answered, giving a smile and left the room.

Now that I looked closely, the suitcase did look familiar with its ash colour. Somehow I didn't feel angry at him for doing this. Maybe I was already anticipating this deep inside. I got out of the bed and into the bathroom, ready to start my boring day.

I panted heavily after the long run that I took. Since I wasn't training with anyone, so why not take a run. The scene infront of me, made me forget about how tired my legs felt.

I am so out of shape.

Hundreds of werewolves were training. Most of them were fighting in combat and some were stretching or running. How the fuck does Xason handle this? Just then he came running shirtless with only a sweatpant on. Sweat trickled down his tan chest to his washboard abs. A pretty good view to feast on early in the morning. Before I knew it, he was standing of me. He had caught me checking him out. Well, I didn't give a fuck if he did.

"Morning, Alpha. How are you getting along?" He asked sweetly. I frowned at the change in his tone.

"As good as a person can be while being forced to stay here." I chirped, smiling back to add more effect.

"Not my fault that my Queen is undeniably stunning." He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly as if he was talking about the weather.

"Well, she is a Queen after all."

"True that."

"Where is she now by the way?" I questioned cluelessly to see whether he was thinking what I was thinking. Clearly, he did.

"She might be somewhere around here."

"I would like to meet her one day."

"Sure. Just look around for someone wearing a black sports bra and tight leggings." He smirked, mischief swarming around his eyes. I decided to play along. It seemed like a fun game.

"I have seen someone wearing that a while ago. That might be her."

"Yeah, might be. Still if that's not enough for you. Look around for someone with a back tattoo, brown hair, strong ravishing figure and stone cold, blue eyes. If you see someone like that. Then know that's my Queen." He finished his description, smirking and walked away.

I stood there baffled as he left enjoying the game that he was playing. Seems like it's not gonna be a boring stay.

"Thank you." I thanked the maid, who was serving lunch to everyone.

The table was filled with hungry werewolves who were scarfing away their foods. Xason sat at the head chair, Reece on his left and I on the right with Charles sitting beside me. Lunch went by fast with no drama or tension.

I sat in my room, ringing up Hayden. He picked up quicker than I expected.

"Alpha."

"Hayden, how is everything going?" I asked, wanting to know about all the things done.

"Everything's fine. There has been no rouge sighting. Patrolling schedule has been changed again for safety and Eyana is at the patrols taking care of everything. A few mails has been received from alphas. I have already send them to you, it's in your laptop. That's all." Informed Hayden and I felt a bit easy now.

"What about the other pack?"

"I have sent some patrols over there too. Patrick is there taking care of everything else and he will be informing me if anything goes wrong."

Patrick is one of our strongest and most experienced warrior. Hayden did a good job by sending him there.

"Ok. I'll be going there tomorrow to check everything." I said and he replied with an 'ok'.

After ending the call, I checked the mails on my laptop which was sent inside my suitcase. Rely on Hayden to do everything for you.
