Chapter 15: Tokyo’s Trouble Pt. 4

"One day has turned into four… I don't know if I even want the cornucopia anymore," Theriault said with a sigh as he lay on the makeshift beds the monster group had made for them during their few days in Japan.

"Well it is fun wandering the streets, it's nice seeing other cultures…" Shen Yi said, cuddled up with a blanket and shivering.

"At least this is benefitting one of us… And here I thought tourism was only for idiots, turns out they're for Princesses too." Theriault said, a teasing smile on his face as Shen Yi blushed.

"I'm not a princess, we did away with such titles long ago, you should know that…"

"How am I supposed to know, I don't give two shits about customs for the families, you guys are such high maintenance low reward type of guys people," Theriault answered, closing his eyes as he got comfortable.

"What'd you do with that upgrade guy? I thought he was madly in love with you?" Theriault asked, knitting his eyebrows right after he spoke.

'That's unlike me…' Theriault thought to himself, listening to Shen Yi.

"Oh, you mean Jinnouchi?" She asked, ignoring Theriault's bluntness. "I gave him strict orders to follow my father and protect my family with his life…"

Shen Yi quieted down, looking at her shaking hands with wide eyes. She turned away, not wanting Theriault to see her expression.

The truth of the matter was, Shen Yi enjoyed the control she had over Jinnouchi. When she gave orders, it was the most pleasant feeling she'd ever experienced… And this scared her.

It was common knowledge that the keys could alter their user's personalities, so much so that they could go completely insane and burn themselves out.

They called these shells of Keymasters miscreants, a Keymaster who Lost themselves and only think about what the key allowed them to, someone who has no self-control over their own abilities.

"Huh…" Theriault said, breaking Shen Yi out of her thoughts as he held a flyer in his hands, looking at it as he began to nod off.

"Could be fun to try out, plus it's easy money…" He said, tossing the flyer down to Shen Yi as he closed his eyes, making himself comfortable despite the terrible sleeping conditions.

'He seems so used to this kind of situation…' Shen Yi thought as she grabbed the flyer.

Though she couldn't read the wording, she could tell it was a modeling ad. 'Seems like a show is going on tomorrow… That could be fun…'

With that Shen Yi cuddled up with the blanket, still shivering.

As Shen Yi drifted to sleep, Theriault opened his eyes, his grey irises cold as he sat up and dropped down from the table they'd put a cushion on.

"To be honest, I was just waiting for her to make a move, we could have been out of here the first day if I wanted it…" Theriault said, mainly to himself as he walked out of the room, leaving the building and breathing in the night air of Tokyo, Japan.

"Park Jimin, that's a Korean last name isn't it?" Theriault asked, putting his head down as the woman stopped moving along the alleyway.

"I knew there was something more to you…" The woman said behind him, an almost delighted tone creeping into her voice.

"Are you a monster? Arcadian? A Keymaster maybe?" Park Jimin said, walking normally now toward Theriault as he still hadn't turned to face her.

"I don't make small talk with... ugh, vampires," Theriault said, practically gagging as he had to use Shen Yi's words. There just wasn't any other way he could describe the monster.

"I can give you a chance. The Cornucopia, the one pan gifted to the humans before his power was sealed into a key… Hand it over and you may keep your life, I couldn't care less about what happens to Tokyo…"

Park Jimin walked around Theriault, leaning against his chest and looking up into his eyes with a flirty smile.

"Oh come on? You caught me, it's been a while since someone's been as interesting as you, I'll let you have a freebie. What do you say?"

Park Jimin said this as her hands glided along his frail body, reaching down toward his belt and tugging at it as she brought her mouth higher and higher, her teeth in line with his neck.

*Shink*

Her fangs dropped, her eyes turning red as she bit them into the juicy flesh of Theriault.

"Just remember, I was merciful, I gave you a chance…" Theriault said with a sigh, grabbing her hair and stopping her fangs an inch away from his skin.

*Crack!*

Park Jimin's neck snapped as he yanked her hair back, throwing her to the ground as he loosened the black tie he always wore.

"Man, I guess it was a vampire…" Theriault muttered as Park Jimin rolled on the ground and jumped up, her clothes changing midair to a black skimpy dress that hugged her figure.

"Huh, I guess the Dracula story where he switches his clothes in an instant isn't as bullshit as I thought..." Theriault said, dodging Park Jimin's attack, sliding to the right as he backhanded her cheek, an amused smile on his face.

"You think you can kill me?" Park Jimin asked with a sweet smile, jumping forward and swinging her arms, hitting Theriault with full force.

"Yeah... I do," Theriault said simply as he dodged her attacks, using the momentum to grab her by her wrist and flip her over his shoulder, slamming her into the concrete.

Park Jimin slipped out of his grip, twirling her body around his and bringing her teeth to his neck.

Theriault quickly dodged her fangs, taking a step back before raising his hand and smashing his fist into her jaw, sending her sprawling to the ground with a shocked expression.

"Fuck... You!" Park Jimin spat as she got to her feet, her eyes burning red. The semi-flirty vibe was gone.

"Don't get too pissed off, you're a little too slow compared to me, I might accidentally kill you before you hand over the cornucopia," Theriault said, smiling as Park Jimin flashed forward, her nails claws as they whistled through the air, aimed at his midsection.

Theriault dodged the attack, hooking his arm around her neck and pulling her closer, wrapping his other arm around her waist. Surprising the Vampire.

"Huh... A little too close for comfort," Theriault said, smirking as he lifted her up, throwing her over his shoulder again.

"Hah..." Park Jimin breathed out, her dress covered in dust and dirt from the ground, and her cape torn. If Theriault cared about vulnerable situations at all, he might have taken advantage of the sight.

"The Cornucopia, hand it over now..." He said seriously, holding out his hand as Park Jimin stood up once again.

She rushed forward, lashing out as Theriault sidestepped to the left.

She expected that though.

Park Jimin smiled wickedly as she grabbed his wrist and pulled him to her, wrapping her legs around his waist. She bit him then, her fangs sinking into his neck, but she couldn't feel anything.

"Hah... When will you learn?" Theriault said, an annoyed tone creeping into his voice as he looked at Park Jimin. Her fangs sunken into a rock he'd picked up.

Park Jimin looked at Theriault with pure hate, biting through the rock before getting slammed into the ground once again.

"I must say, I'm getting bored of this game..." Theriault said, stepping back as Park Jimin flashed to the right, then to the left, charging in and sonic speeds.

'She's getting faster,' Theriault thought as he narrowly dodged The Vampire, twisting his body around to counterattack, only for Park Jimin to avoid it and swipe her sharp nails across his arm.

"Or maybe not," Theriault laughed as he shrugged it off, jumping back and countering the attack with another swing of his fist as Park Jimin tried to attack once again.

This time the sound of bones breaking echoed throughout the area as Park Jimin's arm that she had used to block snapped with ease.

"Fascinating..." Theriault said, smirking as he took a step forward. "I wonder how long you can keep this up. Very little is known about vampires you know? In fact, even I thought they were just a myth."

Park Jimin gritted her teeth, dropping to her knees as Theriault shook his head and clicked his teeth, walking up to her with an amused grin.

"Well... Are you ready to give me the Cornucopia?" He asked his eyes cold, a contrast to the joyous smile.

"Rot in hell..." She breathed out, holding her arm and glancing between it and Theriault.

"I hope you know that... You're going to die..." Theriault said, extending his arm out as if he was giving her a handshake.

"Park Jimin, for your crimes against Tokyo, Japan, and the human race, and me, for stealing my payment off an innocent monster, I will sentence you to death now," Theriault said dramatically as he rose his hand.

Theriault widened his eyes in the next second as Park Jimin jumped up, zipping past him before running back at impossible speeds, his eyes barely able to keep track of her as she stabbed a silver knife into his chest.

"Die human," Park Jimin said, her eyes wild as she stood in front of Theriault. "And I shall feed upon you!" She said, her eyes completely black as blood dripped down from where the knife had been plunged into Theriault's chest.

"Human?" Theriault asked as he grabbed the hilt of the knife, an amused smile on his cold face. "You've got it wrong… I'm no human," He said, pulling the weapon out and slicing the knife across her nose, throwing it to the side in the next second. "I'm a monster."
