Sabrina had a good day. Good, but tiring. She spent the day training with Riley in hand-to-hand combat and then assisted Cody with making food. The poor kid was so tired after doing an inventory check, because he lost a game of snakes and ladders and had to do them for a month. All in all, it was a fun day.

She thought her happy mood would aid her sleeping schedule. Her thought was right, for the most part. She was out as soon as her head hit the pillow, but she should have learned by now that life didn't give her freebies.

Little Sabrina and Jason were wandering around their dad's lab. They were under strict orders not to touch anything there because it could either melt their fingers or turn them into human magnets. Did they listen? No.

You can't expect the children of a brilliant scientist to obey the rules and not give into their curiosity. The siblings escaped from the supervision of their bodyguards to look for their dad who was in the middle of displaying a prototype of his new creation to his boss.

This immediately spelled out trouble.

"Hey, dork. Be quiet. We wanna sneak around, but we don't want to get dad fired!", Jason whisper-yelled to his little sister who didn't really understand the sneak factor. It was either that or she just didn't care. She skipped to desk and on it was a thin cylindrical metal. It was placed on some type of holder. Upon further inspection she found that it was a laser. She pushed a button to switch it on.

She furrowed her eyebrows.

The switch says it's on, but nothing is coming out of it.

She looked around the desk quizzically to see if she was missing something. Her brother came to her rescue and flipped a switch. He pulled a pen from his pocket and placed in front of it so that the laser was pointed at it. Nothing happened. Sabrina looked to her brother.

"Is dad stupid?", she asked.

Jason laughed and shook his head.

"Nah. He worked on this down in the basement and showed it to me."

"Well, what does it do?"

"I have an idea, but there was a slight problem when he made it. I just need to remember."

Sabrina stared him while he tried to figure out a solution. His eyes lit up and he brought the pen closer. A little ray could be seen hitting the pen for a split second before it faded from view, taking the pen with it.

The brunette girl blinked.

What?

Her brother smirked at her dumbfounded expression and waited to see what she would do. She shook her head and switched the laser off. She put her hand where the pen was last seen and felt something. It was still there.

"Invisibility laser. It manipulates the waves of the visible spectrum, so we don't see it," Sabrina said to herself.

"Atta girl," Jason praised his sister as he reversed the effects of laser and pocketed his pen.

She nudged his shoulder and he nudged back harder. This erupted into an all-out shoving war which then turned into tag. They ran around the lab, miraculously evading all the fragile equipment and somehow stumbled into the testing room hallway, laughing and shrieking.

Jason's eye's widened in recognition. He called out as quietly as he could to Sabrina. "Yo, dorkling. We needa go. We're not supposed to be here."

Sabrina continued running but turned her head to reply, "Nice excuse, nerd, but you're not gonna catch me that easily!"

Jason facepalmed and ran after her. "I'm being serious, we gotta go before-", he stopped.

"Wha-", she started before she was cut off by bumping into someone. She fell backwards onto the floor and something fell out of her pocket. Her brother ran to help her up, frantically apologising to the person that they bumped into.

What's his deal?

She rubbed her head and looked up. Her eyes nearly popped out of her sockets. Standing in front of her was none other than her dad's boss.

Victor Vision.

Her mouth went dry. She tried to say something but she couldn't.

Atleast apologise or something!

She looked behind him to see her father. He didn't look angry, but he was worried.

That broke her out of her trance.

"Mr Vision, sir, I am so sorry about that. I didn't see where I was going. I was just looking around and got lost and I didn't know that I wasn't supposed to be here and-", Sabrina spoke and apologized in a single breath. The other three looked at her with concern that she was going to go in forever and probably pass out from the lack of air.

Victor took one for the team and spoke gently, "It's alright."

Sabrina stopped midsentence. "Wait, really?"

"Yes."

Jason looked at her in shock and her father just smiled.

Victor looked over his shoulder to Michael Keys, Sabrina's father. "Is this one your's?", he asked.

"Yes," Michael responded with pride. He nodded and turned to Jason. "Your sister talks more than you do," he chuckled. "Yes, sir," Jason replied looking down.

Victor looked down at Sabrina who stared back at him with eyes full of wonder. He went down on one knee to speak with her, but was still a full head taller. "So, you're the little genius I've been hearing so much about?"

Sabrina looked to her father who mouthed 'Go on.'

She shyly nodded. He directed his attention to the object that was on the floor and picked it up. "Is this yours?", he asked inspecting it. It was a fancy little pen with what seemed like a sensor at the top.

She nodded again. He saw her name engraved messily along it's white body. "Did you make this?", he asked.

She stayed quiet until her brother nudged her gently. "Yes sir," she responded.

"What does it do?"

"It colours things."

"Can you show me?"

Her eyes lit up and she smiled, nodding.

He led the family to the testing room that he had just arrived from and closed the door.

Victor held out the pen for her to take and Michael and Jason both gave her encouraging looks.

She took it and went to a table where conveniently, there was a book and strangely enough, an apple. She pressed a button near the sensor and scanned the fruit and started writing something on the page. She lifted the book to show Victor and on the page was her name written in an ink the colour of the apple. She put the book back down and scanned the silvery gray colour of the table and wrote again. She picked up the book again to show her name in the colour of the table.

Victor looked impressed and clapped for the girl.

"That was quite impressive for someone of your age. Maybe when you get older, I'll give you an internship like I did with your brother," he smiled and left the room.

Michael and Jason looked at her with such joy that Sabrina thought she would cry. In fact, that was exactly what happened. Her brother ran to her and gave her the tightest hug in the world.

She was so happy.
