Chapter 7 - My Younger Self

Karl, Adelheid, and Aldin went to the Townhall to meet the Village Chief. Later, the Village Chief directly greeted Karl in front of him at the Entrance. The Village Chief, as well as the other elders, were happy about him for rebuilding the dam. Karl didn't care, he was not happy or mad about it, he was just doing his job after all Karl intend to impress his mother, proving that he can be relied on.

Karl also saw mister Fritz and miss Marlene at the Townhall, they were also been greeted by the elders. Afterward, soon they began talking without mister Fritz and miss Marlene. Karl and the Village Chief focused on Karl's ideas and suggestions that took interest on him. The Village Chief was astonished by his explanations and suggestions, as well as the other elders. Is he only a 10-year-old kid? the Village Chief thought in his mind.

Karl began explaining and teaching the Village Chief what does the crop rotation and the fertilizer do. At first, the Village Chief and the elders were disgusted, they didn't agree with him. Surely they won't put such waste on the soil, it will only become worse. Karl smirk and guaranteed him that they will reap better crops, not only that, it will double the outcome. They can do the rest whatever they want, sell it? or store it? The two who sent Karl to the Townhall chuckled, seeing a young boy teaching the elders. Karl notice the two and ignored them after all he wasn't surprised about the people's knowledge in this period. They were lacking, even for surviving.

Karl also explained to them what was the crop rotation, what did they saw in the fields. The Villagers, as well as the elders, said to him that "𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦" The other elders laughed at him for his ridiculous ideas, but Karl didn't affect by their insult, he was confident that this method will surely explode their pride and reality. Karl ignored the laughing elders and focused on those who were eager to listen to him, they believe Karl could change the daily lives for a normal villager.

Without a second thought, the Village Chief and the elders who were listening to him finally agreed to Karl's suggestion and planned to implement it in the village. The Chief stood up from the table and warned Karl that if this got worse he and his family will face the consequences, in other words, they will leave and will not comeback ever again. The moment the elders heard their Village Chief warning him, they suddenly became quiet. They knew how serious their Village Chief and he wasn't joking about it. Karl nodded to his warnings and ignored the elders. The Village Chief orders the two men to gather all the farmers on the farmland and appoint Karl that he will be the one who's going to teach them.

Karl easily agreed and join the two to help with the gathering. Karl grab the right hand of his Village Chief and then he shook it briefly up and down. The Village Chief and the elders were confused as to why would Karl suddenly grab his hand and start shaking it briefly out of nowhere. Karl was confused too, he realize they don't know what handshaking is. How could they even express their gratitude or agreed the moment they decided their final decision with both parties? With that thought in his mind. The village chief quickly ask and said to him.

VC: "𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰?"

K: "𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘴?"

VC: "𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘬𝘦?" *right eyebrow raise*

K: "𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵, 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘨𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘸"

It's been 3 days since Karl introduced to them the crop rotation in which is the practice of planting different crops sequentially on the same plot of land to improve soil health. A lot of inventions and ideas of Karl introduced to them, tools for farming such as mouldboard plow and its close relative, the heavy plow. Not only that he also taught them about homemade fertilizer yes they have the same reaction as the Village Chief, but thankfully they were convinced by him.

They did what Karl said thanks to the Village Chief for convincing them. Karl also introduced to them about the sewage system, the irrigation. With the help of blueprints from his skill. The villagers were astonished by the quality of the paper, they asked Karl where did he acquire such precious paper, Karl avoided the question because he doesn't want to cause a commotion. The greedy old geezers started to suspect him. He also introduced eyeglasses to help people with poor eyesight and wheelbarrows for building construction, mining operations, and agriculture to help them work faster and effectively.

Meanwhile, the other elders from the Townhall are talking as they look at Karl afar, the others were full of envy, happy and uncertain for him. Some greedy old geezers and one of them named Krizch, an old man who has long lived in the village since he was a kid. They asked the Village Chief as to why would he entrust that brat with his crazy ideas. The Village Chief didn't answer and ignored them, he doesn't even sure if his plans would all work. All he can do is wait patiently and observe.

Karl told her mother and sister what really happened back then. Helene didn't care, as long as his son is alright, he will support him whatever he wants. Karl's mother and his little sister were happy about his talent. They were astounded by him, both girls promised him that they will support and cheer him up whenever he feels down or failed. Karl was joyous for his sister and mother, Karl swear himself in his thoughts that he will protect his family and this village no matter what happens.

It's evening already and Karl was eating delicious food that her mother cooked for them along with his little sister. They were talking about the memories that they spent before and after Albert died. Vivianne was curious about her father's face or appearance, she can only hear her mother and brother describing how impressive he is. Before Karl could start talking about his father's glorious achievements from the battles. Karl's vision suddenly gets blurred, making him to see at them difficult. he was feeling dizzy and his head started to ache, he quickly stood up and said.

K: "𝘪 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪'𝘮 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥, 𝘪'𝘮 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳"

H: "𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯'𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨" *she pout*

V: "𝘣𝘰𝘰!! 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨"

After Karl turned around, in a moment Karl fainted out making his mother and sister panic at him. The two panicked and brought him into his room, at this point they have no idea as to why would her son pass out, maybe just tired. She tried to check if her son is sick but he wasn't. She doesn't have any idea why would her son collapse out of nowhere. Helene tried to use her nature elemental healing but it doesn't affect her son. She was so worried about him.

??: "Kael wake up, Kael wake up!!" *slapping Karl's face softly while still asleep*

K: "(h-huh? wh-what's happening, english? did someone got reincarnated too?)"

??: "Kael it's already 8 you'll be late at school"

K: "(school? what is she talking about)"

??: "Kael, Kael, Kaeeelll"

After regaining completely of his sight, Karl saw his beautiful mother from his past life infront of him. Tears ran down on his cheeks after finally seeing his mother. His mother became stunned watching his son crying without for a reason. Does he have any problems that he doesn't want to tell me? is he having a hard time at school? With that thought in her mind, she put slowly both of her hands into his son's cheeks and said.

??: "hey brat snap out of it, it's 8 am, what are you crying for? you'll be late at school"

K: "h-huh me? i'm going to school?"

??: "who else am i talking to?"

Kael quickly wipes out his tears and nods briefly, he soon gets up from his bed and opens his window. He saw the outside full of houses, buildings from afar, and cars in a parking lot. Karl was shocked it was so different. Her mother was confused as she looks at him, did something happen to her son? did my son become crazy? She thought. Karl immediately went to their bathroom to see his face in a mirror, there he saw himself, younger. He was surprised by all the things he witnessed, it was strange for him. Kael touch his face and realize it was all real.

K: "wh-what is happening? was that all just a dream? more importantly, why am i in my younger version, is this....did i time travel?"

Kael suddenly remembers in his thoughts, that he was reincarnated as a Karl from another world. He keeps questioning himself why did he cameback from his past life and what happened back there from his other world. He tried to call out his Guide but it didn't appear in his front. Kael went crazy thinking and wondering what the hell just happened to him. Later, he snapped back to reality and recalled that he was supposed to attend school based on what his mother said earlier. He wash his face in the bathroom and afterward, he went directly to their kitchen to eat his breakfast.

~ 1 week later at earth ~

It's been 1 week since Kael cameback to his real body. He was having a hard time accepting the reality he face. He slowly started to forget the other world, believing that it was all just a dream. Kael was reminded that he was back in his past life and more importantly, it was in his youth. Reminiscing the memories he spent from his youth, he became sad that he suddenly remember his mother died the day of his graduation ceremony. He planned to change his past life and choose a different path for his future. Kael is now walking towards his way to school when he saw his childhood friend named Cathy.

K: "Cathy?? it's been years since i last saw her, where the hell was she?"

A busty 17-year-old girl with a plain short black hair, and her eyes were the same as the color of the sky, her appearance was stunning. They were friends since birth, their families are close, they both grew up and went to a similar school from kindergarten to senior high. The moment Kael saw her, his thoughts suddenly remembers something that made him confused and wonder. They started dating in junior high and got broke up the day Kael was too focused on his job. He didn't figure it out why would she suddenly hate him. It was already late to ask because they broke up, she won't even answer me. With that thought in his mind, he decided to approach her for a walk.

Kael ran quickly to Cathy to say hi and join her for a walk to go to school. After arriving at school, Cathy, suddenly says to him that she's waiting for someone and it was her friend. Kael got confused that her girlfriend is suddenly acting weird. Kael wonder who might this person be so he decided to ask Cathy. But Cathy avoided his question and turns back, acted as if she didn't heard what Kael said. Kael then proceeds to go leaving Cathy alone at the entrance of the gate.

Kael had just finished their class and receives a message from his girlfriend saying that she wants Karl to go home first because she had a lot of things to do. The clouds were ominous and grey when a curtain of rain beat down from the sky and Karl forgot to bring his umbrella. He was thinking if Cathy had another one that he could borrow before he leave. Kael went to his girlfriend's classroom to see Cathy and ask. After arriving, Kael didn't see Cathy so he wonder. He try to ask one of her classmates, the girl suddenly smirk looking at Karl, and she said.

??: "oh i think she's at the student council room having a meeting" *chuckle*

K: "i-is that so? thank you"

K: "( how unusual, she never told me that there was a meeting after school )" *he thought*

Kael bows at her and immediately went 3rd floor to go to the room where her girlfriend is, but before he could go, he saw the other members of the student council leaving. Kael ask one of them if there was a meeting but the member said they don't. Kael was mad and started to overthink to think she could lie to him for the first time. I don't remember anything, that she'd lie to me when i was young back then, Karl thought and proceeded. Sooner when he got closer little by little into the student council room, he unexpectedly heard moans. He quickly sneak to the door carefully and leaned as he eavesdrops, there he heard his girlfriend's voice and a random boy saying something.

Kael was curious, he couldn't hear what were they talking, all he can hear are smooching, so he was furious. He tried to peek at the keyhole but he couldn't see them clearly. Kael attempted to unlock the door slowly but it was locked. Kael suddenly think of something so he opens his bag and grabbed a pin to unlock the door. After a few minutes, it was now completely open. Kael without a second thought immediately opens the door making the two alarmed seeing at him.
