In the dark

Finally, she realized that I was not going to answer.

"Oh."

And that was it… She smiled as nothing happened and sighed. It was almost as if she didn't care. Almost as if she wasn't about to cry just a second ago.

"I'm sorry for that… I don't know why would I even ask you that… It's just so obvious… And one more thing... Thank you. Your help… I could never thank you enough for it."

I nodded.

"What do you want me to do?"

"Just… Come with me, okay? Don't let go of my hand. That's actually the most important part… Other things… Well… I think closing your eyes would be a good idea, especially for the first time…"

"What are you talking about?" I interrupted.

"I'm taking you to The Other World."

And as she took my hand I closed my eyes and suddenly I could feel the ground slowly fading from my feet and the air was suddenly thicker and for a moment, it was a little bit harder to breathe. I wasn't falling nor standing. I might have been walking or even running, however, I didn't move my legs.

Time chuckled.

"The Web. I think it's quite foggy today."

"Why shouldn't I have my eyes open? Is it dangerous?"

"No... But it might be scary... You see I've been traveling between the worlds for a long time now. I got used to seeing things. I can also travel in complete darkness. I just thought it might be scary for you."
