Some Stranger's DNA

"Urgh, again" Henry said as he wiped himself clean but seeing the blood and goo remain as though he didn't do anything, Henry charged into the stratosphere to burn it all off.

A few minutes later, Henry returned to the battlefield but couldn't find Nolan anywhere around but it didn't matter to him, he had long since achieved his aim.

Henry looked at the unconscious group and then went on to apply first aid to those who needed it and placing them in a place, where Cecil's men would easily get to them

"That should do it" Henry said as he laid Red Rush beside the others on the beach then levitated off the ground as he sped off back to his house

Minutes after he left, multiple helicopters and trucks arrived at the scene. Some of them immediately went to work, cleaning up the mess left behind while the others made sure that the blood wasn't poisonous in any way.

Some carried the guardians away for treatment.

Meanwhile, a man with a slightly deformed face from a past injury could be seen watching and supervising the entire operation from a helicopter which hovered over the scene

"Things are getting out of hand" Cecil said as he shook his head. He just couldn't wrap his head around the type of monsters they were facing recently.

"At least we have him," Cecil thought as he sat down and the helicopter flew off.

Meanwhile elsewhere, in a small apartment building. A man with unbelievable injuries could be seen sitting on the floor naked as a woman patched him up.

"I don't know what I'll do without you, Debbie" The man said as he stood up, it was Nolan who has left the battlefield without any traces

"You could have waited for them to patch you up" Debbie replied in a fed-up manner

"I know, I know but I'm a Viltrumite, this kind of injury heals within a day or two" Nolan replied as he grabbed her by the waist

"I know but you know how I feel when I see you with these types of injuries" Debbie replied as she too leaned into his chest

"Don't worry, I'll try my best not to get this injured again" Nolan said in a firm tone.

"At least from now on" he whispered with a dangerous look on his face, he had been holding back as he thought that no creature could harm him on the planet but he was proven wrong and it had cost him dearly.

"I heard you fought the monster with the Immortal's help" Debbie asked suddenly as though to change the topic

"Yes, I think he and I may become friends in future" Nolan replied with a smile, he liked The Immortal's ruthless nature. The man did things with absolute efficiency, this could make him a great ally or a great enemy to his cause.

"Really?!" Debbie asked in surprise

"Yes…. Hey did you think I can't make any friends" Nolan asked skeptically

"Well, I'm not saying it but..." Debbie replied with a smile

"Oh I'll show you my friends" Nolan said then swept her off her feet as he walked to the bedroom

While the couple went about their business, disturbing all the neighbors, the topic of their discussion, Henry was back in his lab standing in front of a table which had several holographic images floating above it.

The holograms were that of a DNA strand and a screen displaying all sorts of information related to the DNA

"Well I always knew that Viltrumites were just advanced Humans" Henry said looking at the information displayed on the screen

According to the information displayed, Humans were 98.14% genetically similar to the Viltrumites and he was about 98.65% similar to them.

Looking at the data, Henry smiled after all it meant that his plan could and would work perfectly.

This new information along with his earlier discovery meant that Henry could create a new body which had both the qualities of the immortal and a high class Viltrumites like Nolan.

Henry had taken a few samples of Nolan's blood during the fight since it turns out that even while injured so fatally, Viltrumites still produce blood cells.

Thus allowed Henry to capture a few vial-full of them as they leaked out of Nolan's body and Nolan who was focused on the monster would hardly notice when a small tube was sucking away the small pool of blood formed in his clothes as Henry helped him up whenever he fell.

Henry was once worried that this plan wouldn't succeed because he didn't know how to transfer the energy that made him immortal to a new body but after his discovery which made him know of his cells basically allowed him to produce the same type of energy that gave him his powers though in extremely little amounts.

Along with Viltrumite abilities, Henry could create a body that was probably a 100 times more efficient than a Viltrumite. Viltrumites had the ability to naturally improve as they age or train and nobody had a better healing factor than the immortal himself

The comics didn't bother to explain this or even show it, the same with the animated series. The immortal may not have the capability to regrow body parts due to some weird reason but as long as his original body part is in place, it will attach itself as though it was never separated.

The comics and series nerfed the guy's immortality because they knew he would be a great enemy to face even for Nolan so they restricted his powerful healing factor to only his original body part.

If he should lose the original body part then he would slowly grow it out though the process was much faster than it is for normal humans and most of the Guardians.

Immortal was a greatly nerfed character in Henry's opinion but all that didn't matter now since he would soon create a new body for himself which would exhibit his true levels of regenerative powers.
