The Superwoman

After talking for an hour, we were again inside the car, this time going to my apartment. More like a 4-bedroom apartment about which I don't remember anything. I absent-minded hummed to all the things Fiona was talking about. My eyes were glued to the scenery outside the car's window. I was a little too focused on the old models of cars passing by to listen to my apartment's address. After a few more minutes the car turned into a society with huge gates. I looked in awe at the huge buildings those gates were hiding. The car turned around a beautiful fountain and stopped in front of a huge glass building. It was so tall that I hurt my neck trying to look at the top floor. Chan wo step out of his seat and opened the door for me. I was about to step out still in a daze when Fiona held my hand, a gesture to make me stop. I turned around and looked into her worried eyes, "I will leave you to Chan now. Don't forget to be on time tomorrow for the signing of the new album. You have to reach the company by 10 AM.", she said. I nodded and stepped out of the car. "Miss Song, you go upstairs and rest. I'll drop Miss Fiona and then bring your bags and schedule to your apartment.", Chan said and bowed. I nodded at him too and he turned around to leave. At that moment it strikes me I was forgetting something very important. "Hey, Chan! What did u say my apartment number was?", I asked. He turned around and chuckled. "It is on the 52nd floor Miss Song, the first apartment, just beside the lift.", he said and sat in the car. I looked at the building one more time and stepped forward. I reached the entrance and the guards bowed, "Aneyong Hasseyo Songshi", they said in unison. I bowed in response. They opened the gate for me and I was greeted with the land of my dreams. There in front of me was a huge hall, with a beautiful crystal chandelier and the marble floor was so clean that you could see your reflection in it. I stepped inside and I realised this was the reception area. There were lots of huge paintings covering the walls in the most aesthetic way, and the room's lighting gave it such a royal aura. I was walking with my jaw dropped on the floor. Many people greeted me on the way to the lift and I knew Kim Song was a friendly person. The elevator was not free, so I waited to admire the hall one more time. Soon the elevator went ding, and I turned around. The doors of the elevator opened and there was a guy inside wearing a uniform similar to the other staff. The moment he saw me his eyes were full of fear. He bowed down and said, "Miss Song, I am sorry to keep you waiting. Please forgive me this time. I promise it won't happen again.". I was a little taken aback by this explosion of apology. "Uh… It is totally okay. I am not angry.", I said stepping into the elevator. "You are not?", he asked surprised. "No, why will I be angry at such a small thing.", I stated the obvious. "It means you won't get me fired?", he asked still a little scared. "Fired! Why will someone get fired for this?", I scoffed. His eyes were now the shape of a saucer. "Did anyone get fired because of this?", I asked looking at his shocked face. He nodded unsure of his action. "Woah! This world is weird.", I laughed. "It sure is.", he said and smiled awkwardly at me. Soon we were on the 52nd floor and I thanked the elevator guy and stepped out. He was so nervous the whole time. what kind of a person gets others fired for the elevator making them wait.

I turned and saw the gate just beside the elevator. This must be my apartment I thought. I was about to put in the apartment code that Chan told me, but the door was already unlocked when I touched the handle. I opened the door and stepped inside. After entering the apartment and digesting the view in from of me, to say I was just awestruck would be an understatement. I ran inside happily and the apartment in front of me was three times bigger than my house in Baltimore. I yelped excitedly and went from room to room checking all the furniture, all the pictures of Kim Song and the other luxuries resting peacefully in this beautiful apartment.

The theme of the apartment was black and white. The pictures of Kim Song were also black and white perfectly matching the apartment's aura. I checked all the rooms and then tired came and sat on the couch in the living room. In front of me was a plasma tv covering the whole wall. I was finally living the life I wanted. I was looking for the remote when I heard the doorbell ring. I went to the door cautiously and I peeped through the peephole. It was Chan. I opened the door and he came inside. "Is everything okay?", he asked. It was then that it hit me that the door was unlocked when I came here. "No, the door was unlocked before I even put in the code.", I told him. He looked at me shocked. "And you still entered? Miss Song why didn't you call for the security?", he asked all worried. Why didn't I think about it? "I was too tired and excited to rest.", I lied. The truth was, somewhere inside I knew nothing was going to happen. It seemed like this has happened before. He was still looking at me concerned but I smiled at him and walked inside. He followed me and we both sat in the living room. "Here, this is your schedule for tomorrow.", he said handing me a file. I took it and read my schedule. "I have just an hour to eat lunch and no other break for the whole day!", I was shocked. "Miss Song I am sorry, I tried that you don't get his one hour break too, but Mr Min just won't let you work without lunch. I told him you hate breaks but I guess we need to take this one break.", he said. I was shocked. What is this girl, a superwoman? Bless Mr Min for having a sane brain. "Who is Mr Min?", I asked. He looked at me horrified but covered his expression with an awkward grin. "He is the guy whom you met at the concert. He is your mentor.", Chan said. I nodded remembering the guy who introduced me to this new body when I entered this world. "I have kept your food on the kitchen table. Don't forget to eat it. Now you should rest Miss Song. I will leave and you can call me if you need anything.", he said standing up. "Chan listen, next time onwards make sure I get at least 5 breaks in this hectic schedule.", I said. He looked at me shocked but nodded nonetheless. I walked him to the door and locked it behind me. Now that I was alone after such a messed-up day, I can finally organize my thoughts, happenings and the mess I am in. Or so is what I thought I was capable of until I found a beautiful red diary resting on the study of Kim Song.
