Chapter 6

The next morning, Livana woke up and got ready in the bathroom adjacent to the guest room she was staying in. She put on a blue gown even though she would have rather worn a simple dress. She hid her freckles carefully with powder that she found in her suitcases. Of course her mother wouldn't forget to send her makeup. Once she was ready she walked out of the room and closed the door behind her.

She heard another door being opened and closed while she was still facing her own door and she looked to her left to see that Nathaniel was walking out of his own room. She looked down and turned toward the other side of the corridor quickly walking away from him. She didn't want to speak to him right now. She wanted to eat breakfast, she was starving since he hadn't let her finish her dinner last night.

"Livana," he called after her and she stopped in her track.
