Chapter 3 A Loser is a Loser

The next day, Charles escorted his daughter to the kindergarten as usual.

Betty's teacher is called Sue Lyon, a beautiful young girl who just graduated from New York University. Sue was about 5.4 feet tall, with a single ponytail and two cute canine teeth.

Seeing that little Betty came to school, Sue was surprised and said to Charles, "Mr. Garcia, didn't you say that Betty would be transferred to another school?"

"No, I won't. And I want Betty continue to study in your class."

It was just an excuse that Charles told Sue that his daughter was going to transfer to another school. If his wife's company went bankrupt, not to mention his daughter's tuition, his family's livings would also be a problem.

Sue touched Betty's face with a sincere smile. She said happily, "That's great! Betty is my favourite."

"Miss Lyon, I like you too!" Betty said sweetly and took Sue's hand.

Charles smiled and said to Sue, "Miss Lyon, I'll leave Betty to you."

"Mr. Garcia, don't worry."

"By the way, I will transfer the school fee to you through bank next month."

"Okay!"

Sue smiled, picked up Betty and walked into the class.

Early in the morning, Rosemary went to the Courtney Group to pay the remaining eight hundred thousand debt. The debt was like a mountain, pressing her out of breath. The moment she returned the money, she had an indescribable joy in her heart.

The CEO of Courtney Group is called William Clinton. After Rosemary paid off her debt, Clinton dialed a number and reported it to the person on the phone.

The person on the other end of the line said to Clinton in a deep voice, "I see!" Then he hung up the phone without asking.

The person’s reaction made Clinton feel strange, Since Clinton had set such a big trap for Rosemary.

Rosemary was very happy today. She not only paid off her debt to Courtney, Charles also introduced the business of the Lexington Group to her. If she could get the deal done, her company would come back to life. Therefore, she dressed up specially today. She was 5.6 feet tall, white skinned and beautiful, with a pair of white and slender legs. No matter where she goes, she is very easy on the eye.

After taking a taxi to the Lexington Group, Rosemary tidied up her clothes carefully. Her makeup was simple. Her clothes were elegant. She slowly walked towards the Lexington Group.

Rosemary handed her business card to the receptionist and said politely with a warm smile, "I'm Rosemary Garcia from B&C Packing Design Company. Please help me find Mr. Jones."

"Excuse me, do you have an appointment?" The receptionist asked.

Rosemary shook her head and said, "My husband said that as long as I mentioned my name, Mr. Jones would see me."

Rosemary was obviously lack of confidence when she said this. It was all her fault. She was so excited that she lost her mind. It was impossible to meet an leader from a big company like the Lexington Group without an appointment.

As expected, the receptionist checked Mr. Jones’s appointment arrangements and said, "I'm sorry, Mrs. Garcia. Mr. Jones is talking with a client."

"When will he finish?"

"It is uncertain."

With a disappointed look on her face, Rosemary suddenly realized that she could talk to the director of the advertising and PR department first.

"Is director Peter in the PR department there?"

"Oh, you mean Mr. Lewis? He has been demoted as manager. The new PR’s director is Miss. Thompson."

As soon as the receptionist finished her words, she pointed at the direction of the elevator and said to Rosemary, "Mrs. Garcia, the beauty in a pleated skirt is Miss. Thompson."

Rosemary looked around and was surprised to find that the director of advertising and PR department is her classmate, Emma Thompson.

After seeing the guests off, Emma was about to go back.

Rosemary shouted, "Emma!"

Emma turned around and saw Rosemary who was calling her.

She walked towards the front desk, frowned and said to Rosemary coldly, "Rosemary Brown, why are you here?"

Rosemary didn't expect to meet an acquaintance in the Lexington Group. The former director always looked at her with lustful eyes. Therefore, Rosemary would rather give up the cooperation with the Lexington Group than sell her body for benefits. If Charles hadn't told her that he had informed his boss, Rosemary would definitely not come to the Lexington Group to discuss cooperation.

Now the director of the advertising and PR department was replaced by her college classmate, Rosemary was very happy. She walked up to Emma and said, "I'm here to talk business with Mr. Jones. Emma, do you know if Mr. Jones has mentioned to hand over the packaging design business to my company?"

Chris Jones, did tell Emma that there was a distinguished guest who would come to the company to talk about the packaging design business. He wanted Rosemary’s company to design the advertising packaging from now on. But he was too busy to explain it clearly to her!

When she was in college, she hated Rosemary. Because Rosemary prevailed her in every aspect. But later, Rosemary married a loser, which made Emma win a round. Especially when she heard that Rosemary's company was deeply in debt crisis, she was even happier. Now that she had the chance to suppress Rosemary, how could she miss it?

With an arrogant look, she held her arms and sneered at Rosemary, "Rosemary, it's not that I don't want to help you. It's just that Mr. Jones has told me that a distinguished guest will be responsible for the future packaging design of the Lexington Group. Don't tell me that you are the distinguished guest that Mr. Jones mentioned?"

Of course, Rosemary wouldn’t think she was the distinguished guest mentioned by Mr. Jones. But Charles said that as long as she met Mr. Jones, the business of the Lexington Group would be handed over to her. Now there was another distinguished guest, which made Rosemary feel that she was cheated by Charles.

With a sneer, Emma said, "Rosemary, I've heard about you. Don't you want to trade your body with Mr. Jones to save your company?"

"Emma, you... you've gone too far!"

"I've gone too far? Your useless husband takes care of your daughter at home all day long. How can a beautiful woman like you bear loneliness?"

Emma's words made Rosemary blush and her face burning. Not only that, she was also humiliated by her college classmate Emma.

"Emma, I know you didn't like me before. But I didn't expect you to hold a grudge against me after graduation."

"Humph! Rosemary, I'm not who I used to be. I'm the director of the PR department in the Lexington Group. You can't cooperate with the Lexington Group. You'd better go back and serve your useless husband, okay?" Emma laughed complacently and said, "it's possible that you insist on marrying that useless husband because he can satisfy your need in bed."

"Emma, that's enough!"

Rosemary stepped forward and was about to beat Emma.

Emma took a few steps back and shouted, "Security!", Immediately, two security guards rushed over.

Pointing at Rosemary, Emma said to the security guards, "Drive this woman out! Don't let her enter the gate of the Lexington Group again."

The security guards carried Rosemary out of the the Lexington Group without demur.

After leaving the Lexington Group, Rosemary cried sadly. She came here with great hope. She not only failed in the business, but also was humiliated by Emma.

Rosemary Brown took out her phone and called Charles.

After the phone was connected, Rosemary Brown vented all her grievances on Charles. She shouted at the phone, "Charles! You really disappointted me. I thought you really cound save the family and my company. Now I know I was wrong! A loser is still a loser."

Charles was doing housework at home. When he heard Rosemary crying, he asked in confusion, "Rose, what happened?" It suddenly occurred to him that Rosemary was going to the Lexington Group to sign the contract. "Rose, is there something wrong with your cooperation with the Lexington Group? Wait, I'll be there soon!"
