Liam

Meanwhile back at the castle, Queen Rosaline has arranged a date for her daughter Elizabeth and her soon-to-be husband lord Liam, the Duke of Baston.

As Elizabeth got ready for her date, she placed a hand on her belly and said "Mummy is doing all these for you, she wants you to have a better future and what better future is there than for you to become the future King of Aldia." She took a deep breath and went to the palace garden, where her date will take place.

When Elizabeth arrived she saw that a table has already been set for them to dine and the garden has been beautifully decorated. She knew only her mother would do this, She took a deep breath and walked up to the man whose back she could only see, but just his back view was enough to let her know that future husband was nicely built.

"Hello, my lord" Elizabeth greeted and she was stunned when the man turned to her, in fact the only thought in her mind was that this man is so beautiful.

Of course, she had heard the rumors about lord Liam, and it will be a lie if she said it didn't bother her, but for the sake of her child she was ready to sacrifice everything and she knew that the man standing before her is the ladder she needs to ensure that her child becomes the future King of Aldia.

"You are more beautiful than the rumors say, my lady" Liam said as he held Elizabeth's right hand and kiss the back of her hand.

Liam was indeed intrigued by Elizabeth's beauty but he greatly disapproves of his marriage to this princess. After all, there was already someone in his heart and he couldn't see himself giving his heart to someone else, and there was something that bothered him about this marriage, so he asked "You have heard the rumors about me haven't you? so why have you decided to marry me?."

Elizabeth remained calm and said "You said it yourself, they are just rumors and I do not believe in rumors that has no evidence."

"You would put your life at stake for the sake of lacking evidence. Are all princesses like this? And here I was thinking that maybe you were force into marrying me but from the look in your eyes I see no unwillingness. It seems to me that you are willingly ready to throw away your life, but I do not understand why."

"Why do you think marrying you will be throwing away my life? And as for the rumors, they do not matter because I am a princess of this kingdom and I am sure you will not disrespect me or else you will face the wrath of the whole kingdom for harming their future Queen."

Elizabeth said as she felt more powerful when she realized that very soon she would become the Queen of Aldia but she was confused when Liam burst into laugher. Her confusion turned into irritation as she asked "Was there something I said that you found funny?"

"I am truly sorry my lady for my manners, but what gave you the impression that I would want to sit on the throne and besides the King is very healthy and still have more years to live." Liam said as he walked closer to Elizabeth until there was barely any space separating them, he bend down to her whispered coldly into her ears. "You shouldn't bite the hands that feeds you, because if you do you will one day regret it. Don't be too ambitious because it will destroy you, think carefully of my words today and tell me your answer afterwards." Liam looked at Elizabeth with no emotions in his eyes and was about to leave when Elizabeth asked him "What if my answer is still the same?"

"Then I will ensure you become the Queen of Aldia." Liam said with no hesitation.

"If that is the case, then I already have my answer. Let's get married Liam."Elizabeth propose with a more determine look in her eyes.

"I told you to think about it carefully."

"I have thought about it for weeks, and I know that this marriage is what I need to ensure everything stays in its rightful place."

"Then fine, let's get married. Set the date for the wedding, but remember there is no turning back in the path that you have chosen to take."

"And I intent to not turn back from this path." Liam stared at Elizabeth deeply and left the garden.

Elizabeth saw the food the maids prepared for them, it remained untouched and must have gone cold by now. She left the garden and went into her room and she was startled when she saw her mother sitting on her bed.

"What are you doing here?" Elizabeth asked.

"I came to ask you how the date went."

Queen Rosaline said.

"It wasn't a date, we just talked." Elizabeth said, her conversation with Liam made her feel annoyed.

"And so?" Queen Elizabeth asked hoping her daughter didn't ruin everything.

"And so what? I do not like him at all, whenever he looks at me, I get chills within me. And he told me that I shouldn't bite the hands that feeds me." Elizabeth walked up to her mother in panicked and said "He knows everything mother, maybe we should stop this when there is still time"

"Relax Elizabeth and as long as he doesn't know that you pregnant, then you are fine. And you and I both know that it is already late to turn back."

"I am just scared" Elizabeth finally admitted.

"There is nothing to be scared of. As long as you marry lord Liam then you can become the Queen of Aldia. Think of your son, he will be loved and adored by all, but if anyone were to find out that he is the product of an illicit affair then both you and your child will be doomed so think very carefully before making any stupid decision."

"Yes mother, you are right. I must think of my child and ensure he gets the best in life." Elizabeth said as she placed her hands on her belly.

After lord Liam left the garden and the castle, he entered his carriage and saw the person whom he has always wish he could avoid.

"What are you doing here?"Liam asked coldly.

"Its that the way to greet your older brother. Anyway i heard of your marriage, so I decided to congratulate you in person. So tell me how was the first princess of Aldia, I heard she is a beauty to behold."

"First of all, you are not my older brother Ethan, and as for the princess, even a dog is more loyal than her."

"Why do you say that?" Ethan asked as he looked at his friend younger brother. He made a promise to his friend that he would protect this brat no matter what.

"She wants to become the Queen of Aldia"

"But King Ford is...." Ethan couldn't complete his statement, because he finally realized what Liam was trying to say. King Ford was still young and healthy and the only way for the princess to become the Queen, is if she were to get rid of her father. Ethan looked at Liam and said "Will you get married to her?"

"Yes, I will, but what I will not do is father another man child."

"You mean...."

"When I was with her I could hear another heartbeat from her, she is possibly pregnant and she is looking for another man who will take responsibility for it, but what she doesn't know is that I certainly won't be that man and besides wouldn't it be fun to see a vampire ruling over the humans." Liam said with a cold and mischievous smile.
