Chapter 41: A Taste of her Own Medicine

I rush into the living room and find Sienna sitting there, Mei Li close but not at her side. I worry about what happened, but they didn’t tell me much when they called me. Cael is also here and he nods at me.
“What happened?” I ask and Sienna looks at me, her eyes filling with tears when I reach her. “Calm down, please.”
Kall walks in and nods at me as well. “Deidre is ok, she is still shocked, but she is fine. The doctor is checking on her and wants to speak to you as soon as you can Roharu.”
I nod but hold Sienna close, pulling her to my arms. “I still want to know what happened. Mei Li?”
She looks at me and I can see she is still a bit confused. She nods. “We were having breakfast, Solange and Deidre joined us; they were polite at first, but then Deidre said some nasty things…” her voice trails as she looks at Sienna.
I frown and feel my anger rise. “Did she hurt Sienna? Did she dare to do something to her in my absence?”
