*Sienna*
“Oh Sienna, I already miss you, when are we going to see each other again?” Diane speaks through the phone and I chuckle, already knowing who she really misses.
“I will let you know when I am done with all these tests they ask me to run. I don’t know why they ask so many,” I lie.
“I am sorry, really sorry. I know you have your own health issues and here I am trying to go out to a party with you… I will stop now.”
“Don’t worry, it helps as a distraction,” we both laugh and continue talking for some more until she finally finishes telling me how my students made a billboard where they signed their names and put mine in my honor.
After we hang up, I shake my head at how foreign that life seems to me now; I used to be a teacher, and I had a peaceful life. Now my life is filled with chaos and uncertainty, powers and abilities, and everything next to my teenage crush. I would never give that up.
