Panicking

Ruby and Arthur stared at Zane incredulously.

"I know you from somewhere",said Arthur pulling up a pained expression

"Woah....I don't know you from anywhere",said Zane in a convincing tone.

Ruby gasped and said,"Arthur I saw this guy in my dreams! His name was something I don't remember..."

Arthur shook his head vigorously and said,"I REMEMBER TOO! I SAW HIM IN MY DREAMS TOO!"

"Pardon?...You saw me in your dreams? Sounds a bit dramatic, don't you think?",said Zane

Ruby smiled stupidly at Arthur and said,"Mary said we were mutual dreaming when we saw him in our dreams! Does it mean something?"

Arthur shrugged like a big stupid baby boy and said,"I don't know but I think we should talk to him. We don't see a guy in our dreams everyday and see him in real life again!"

"Uh...I am standing right here",said Zane

As they were going to say something else to Zane, he excused himself because he saw Natalie gesturing at him to follow her, with alarming fear in her eyes.

Zane followed her , uncomfortably, towards the bathroom.

She stopped by the sink and said,

"I just saw my father"

Zane frowned and asked,"I don't mean to hurt your feelings but isn't he like...dead?"

"Yes! Exactly! He is dead! How is that possible?! I mean I thought that maybe I was dreaming or something but it was so real! He looked at me and we held our gaze for about fifteen seconds and then I looked away and he was just gone!",said Natalie, her hands shaking.

Zane opened his mouth to speak, then closed it. He thought for a moment and asked,"Have others been seeing their parents too?"

Natalie shrugged and asked,"Why would they be?"

"Because I saw my mother....I thought it was an illusion or something but now you're telling me that you saw your father too!"

Natalie looked scared, "Does that mean something?! Should we tell Eva?!"

"No no...let's not alarm her"

"But we are seeing our dead parents! How is that not alarming to you?!",asked Natalie

Zane scratched his nose and he heard shouts outside. Natalie and Zane ran outside to find Emily crouching against the wall, with her eyes closed. Everyone seemed busy and no one seemed to notice anything at the party. Scarlett, her mother, Arthur and Ruby, the guests, everyone was enjoying themselves unlike Emily, whose scream they seemed not to have heard.

All the ten children gathered around Emily, including Zane and Natalie.

"WHAT'S THE MATTER?!", Zane asked hurriedly

Mick was sitting down beside Emily,"She suddenly freaked out. Laurel is creating illusions and controlling the mist, making those people see that we are enjoying ourselves and not creating a havoc"

"And I don't think I can hold it any longer. Emily please get up from the floor, I can't control the illusion any longer",said Laurel, who was sweating.

Making around a hundred people see the same thing at the same time, was not easy.

Emily got up and Aidan asked,"Emily? Will you please tell me why you freaked out when you looked at me?"

"I-I saw my father....I don't know how or why but it felt really real and I got scared...I am sorry!"

"Say that again",said Derek

"I said I got scared and-"

"No, I am asking about the part where you saw your parents",said Derek.

Derek's only flaw was that he couldn't use his empathetic abilities on fellow Supernaturals, he could only use it on people who did not have super powers.

"I saw my father , he gave a smile and then he suddenly disappeared. I don't know how it happened or what really happened but it felt really real", repeated Emily

"Now it might sound really weird",said Alice, fixing her hair,"But I saw my mother when I was coming inside this house, I saw my mother standing by. I thought it was a trick of sight but now that you are saying-"

"SHUT UP!",shouted Laurel,"I saw my mother too!"

"Hold on!",said Zane."What the hell is happening?! Aren't our parents supposed to be dead?! How are all of us seeing them?"

"You saw them too?",asked Derek.

"Yeah ",said Zane," And it sounds like you saw yours too"

Derek nodded.

"Okay so how many people have not seen their dead parents till now?",asked Natalie.

Helen, Aidan and Bennett raised their hands and everybody looked at them

"We didn't see our parents",said Aidan

"Yeah...",said Helen and Bennett nodded his head in approval.

"Do you guys think that this is some sort of test by Eva?",asked Alice

"We don't know for sure",said Mick.

An arrow came out of nowhere and was about to hit Mick in the chest but Natalie, instinctively caught it with one hand.

Three more aimless arrows were shot and that was enough for the guests all around to start shouting and running around and creating a mess. Zane was surprised as to how much humans could be messy when under attack.

Tall men dressed in black, wearing masks, came at them from different directions. They were walking slowly as if they knew that they were going to catch them which made it even more sinister.

Zane looked at his friends and whispered,"Run"
