Sunbathing

Qu Yao had an unexplainable obsession with stars that she could not let go of for more than twenty years.

She had yet to see the brightest stars, and had yet to find the two that belonged to her parents.

Bai Sihe's voice rang in her ears. "Don't look at the stars. Stars only appear in the dark. Let's go sunbathing tomorrow! The sun is warmer and brighter."

Qu Yao was jolted awake at that moment. It was as if her meridians had been opened and her blood was boiling.

Bai Yihe wrapped his arms around her waist and buried her head in his arms. "Not everything in this world has an answer."

He exhaled gently, and his warm breath blew on Qu Yao's hair. "Sleep, remember what you promised me." His voice became lower and lower, as if he was talking in his sleep. "Come with me to sunbath tomorrow."

Qu Yao could hear his heartbeat, as well as her own heartbeat. She did not answer, but quietly closed her eyes.

When Qu Yao left, Bai Yihe was still sleeping.

She had Shadow move Bai Yihe's study room away. She only took the red rope on her wrist, and the rest of the things were left in their original positions.

Everything here was tricked by her, and should not have belonged to her in the first place.

Faceless Ghost successfully lured water ghost ashore. His whole body was covered in dirty water, emitting the stench of the bottom of the lake. He wore a new human skin and scolded water ghost, "How the f*ck are you uglier than me?"

Qu Yao was annoyed by her shouting and gave Water Ghost a slap across the air. "Do you know a woman named Qu Fang?"

Water Ghost's body instantly stiffened. She stared at Qu Yao in confusion and couldn't say a word.
