SCHOOL PROJECT
The next day, I woke up, did my morning routines and went downstairs for breakfast. "And where do you think you're going this early" Mom asked while scanning me head to toe. "Mom I'm going to one of my classmate's house our biology teacher gave a project and we were divided into 4 groups. Each group will have 3 participants which I'm paired with Bella and Andrew" I briefly explained.
Although she asked where am I going to I suppose to say "I'm to my friend's house than explaining the whole thing to her. You know how mums are. They are strict but they can be a bit too much when it comes to protecting. Suddenly we heard a beeping car sound outside. That was strange. Am I sure it's the driver? But when I went outside it was Bella's driver and Bella is inside the car. I hesitated to enter the car reluctant for some reason but to avoid arousing suspicion from my parents, I eventually got in and left. Bella attempted to initiate a conversation but faced difficulty as my intense, unfriendly gaze, resembling a "death stare" made it challenging for her to proceed. I chose not to engage with her due to the pain of a broken heart, opting for silence to protect myself emotionally. As I was resting and sulking at the same time, a thought swiftly crossed your mind. Andrew! Oh men what if he ask if what I said is true. Well it was too late to think it over because we are already in his house. And wow his house is so beautiful. Andrew's duplex screams perfection. His duplex is a tasteful blend of elegance and functionality showing modern design and thoughtful layout. I was memorized.
"Oh Bella! Anna! You made it! Welcome to my house" Andrew greeted while putting on a happy smile. "Come my room is upstairs".
Wow! Even his room is beautiful. We sat on couch and brought out the soil. I brought the loamy soil and kept it on his chair and his hands brushed against mine. It took hours to find the difference and it was hard to find until I had an idea. I brought out my water bottle and poured it on the soil. Boom! I got the difference.
"I got it. The fertility of Sandy soil is low as nutrients leach away quickly The fertility of the Loamy soil is high due to a combination of soil particles and the fertility of the clay soil is high but can be challenging root penetration" I explained.
Woah! Did I just explained that? Ha! In your face Fredrick. I guess you're not the only person who is smart. I was rejoicing I stopped. I turned and that's when our eyes met.
"Not bad Anna" Andrew explained "But we still have unfinished to do just the two of us"
I knew this is the time to confess my feelings. I signaled Bella to leave which she made an excuse to leave.
"So what unfinished business are you talking about?" I asked while I brushed my hair to my ear.
"You said you like me is it true?" Andrew asked while he blocked and pinned me to the wall.
"Yes it's true but when I saw the picture of you and Bella I felt-"
"Jealous? It's strange because I have the same for you I wanted to say it but I was worried if you won't accept it so I asked Bella for help and set up everything. Will you accept it?"
"I accept but I also owe someone an apology"
"Make sure you do it right, ok?"
I went downstairs to look for Bella but she wasn't. Then I heard a strange noise from the kitchen. I tiptoed to the kitchen and I saw Bella eating a whole bag of chips. Bella turned to me and dropped the chips. I ran to her and hugged to her.
"Bella I'm really sorry that I slapped you and broke our friendship necklace. I know that you weren't to do it and I apologize. Andrew told me everything and you got involve in this. I recognize that I behaved in a way that hurt you and I deeply regret the pain I have caused. I value our relationship. Will you forgive me?
Bella paused for few second and regain back. Our eyes were fixed and I can see the sadness in her eyes. She was deeply hurt because of me.
"If you want to think about it, it's ok but please do find a please in your heart to forgive me"
Tears flowed freely in her eyes and she hugged me.
"I forgive you Anna I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner" she said while crying "Oh I have something for you"
She brought the friendship bracelets I broke.
"But I broke it how come it's ok" I asked while wearing it
"I always make extra incase we lost or broke one" she replied.
