CHAPTER 12 "THE WHITE"

"This place is amazing!" said Zircon, impressed.

The White didn't seemed amazing to Terra, it's not what she expected, it only looks so white and empty literally nothing, like no laws of physics. Now Terra knows why it's called The White, but she didn't wanna be rude so she pretended she was amazed "Uh... yeah, looks great" she said.

Sapphire gazed at the White, almost a lifetime she has finally made it to the White. "The White, I can't believe it" she said.

Red's mind was blown away, he said with wide eyes "coooool".

Terra still didn't see it, this is what Sapphire's been working for her whole life? What's so great about it? she thought, so she decided to ask them without being mean. "Uh guys, I hate to spoil the moment but I don't see what's so great about this place" she asked in a friendly way.

Sapphire understood Terra's reaction so she will demonstrate to her "I'll show you" she said. She closed her eyes and started to daydream, and then an audience appeared out of nowhere. Sapphire imagined an audience applauding them, congratulating them for successfully making it to the White.

"If you're in an empty white place like this you can have whatever you want, when you put your mind to it" Sapphire explained.

Now Terra was amazed! "Wow!" she said "So you can imagine anything you want and it will become a reality".

"Yup, that's beauty and art of this place" Sapphire answered with class.

After the imaginary audience was over Sapphire spotted a big round empty controller. Nobody was in there it looked like it was deserted for eons, but it was still looking new.

"Guys look, there's that deserted controller over there, I can hack in there and get the things you need and want" Sapphire explained, pointing at the controller of the White.

They overjoyed, they're finally going to get what they wanted. Sapphire was so happy to finally live in the White, but then her happiness began to fade, she was happy with her former best friend and brother, and her new friend Terra but did she really wanna live alone in the White forever? She spent so many years trying to get to the White and she doesn't want it to go to waste, she felt secretly overwhelmed. Sapphire turned her back looking sad and said "I... guess we should get you ready for Galactica and get Terra's memories back".

"Oh, so we're gonna do that now" said Zircon, in a soft voice.

Sapphire turned towards Zircon, Red and Terra and said "We had a deal right".

"Yeah okay, right" replied Zircon.

"I... I guess I'll start hacking" said Sapphire, walking towards the controller of the White.

First she hacked Terra's memories, she uploaded it in a pill that looks like a marble, and it might take a while. The others were waiting for her outside of the controller.

"We did it guys, all our dreams are finally coming true, Zircon is no longer an outcast in Galactica, Terra's gonna get her memories back and my work is completed, Oh yeah!" Red cheered while doing a little victory dance, he leap for joy, but Zircon and Terra didn't seem that happy they feel a little blue (in an emotional way).

Terra's glad to have her memories back, and to remember how to control her powers, but she was also sad that she has to say goodbye and hoped she won't forget them. Zircon wasn't sure if she wants to use the White to make her fit in Galactica, in fact she's not sure if she wants to go separate ways with Sapphire and Red again, including Terra she was such a good friend.

"Uh... yeah but this all seems super fast, don't you think" said Zircon. Terra agreed while nodding her head.

"Red I don't think I want this... adventure to be over, I don't know, I don't think wanna do this again with you two and you Terra, you really helped us back there and I'm grateful for that, thank you" said Zircon. Terra was so touched by Zircon's speech she almost cried. "It was an honor being with you guys" she said honorably "I hope we can do it again sometime".

"Or why not sooner" added Red "once you have your memories back and you're back on earth you can contact us with a crystal necklace of your own, only I have to go to my homeworld to get you one, in that way we can communicate and you can come visit whenever you want."

"Really I'm gonna have my own cool necklace!" said Terra surprised and excited.

"In a way yes" answered Red, he looked at Zircon to ask her what she thinks?

Zircon was surprised at this, she doesn't think it's a good idea, but there's a first time for everything so why not anyway what's one human gonna do. " Well since I'm gonna visit Galactica more frequently I'm gonna have to learn to communicate with new people so I say let's do it".

Terra cheered with joy "Thank you Zircon, I swear you won't regret it".

"I know I won't" she will but she didn't say anything. "Well, might as well break the news to Sapphire to see if she's happy with the idea, I'm gonna go tell her right now while I still can"

Red and Terra smiled at her in support and they wished her good luck. Zircon went inside the controller to talk to Sapphire.

"Um... yeah so... ever since we um" Zircon spoke nervously but finally said with heart "Sapphire after that pointless argument and years of separation we had, I've forgotten that you were the coolest the most interesting best friend I've ever had along with Red and Terra, and after all the adventures we had I'm not sure I want that to be over because right now my color is huge, I just think it's enough confidence and effort to try to fit in Galactica without using the White, that's why me and Red decided to stay in touch with Terra by giving her a crystal necklace, I know it's crazy but maybe we'll make it work somehow."

Sapphire was proud of her even the crazy idea of giving Terra a crystal necklace, but then her pride for her began to fade away when Zircon said something unexpected to her.

"If that means you'll quit The White and come back with us and we can all be friends again like we use to, like forever, forever and ever, and ever" Zircon reached for her hand ready to shake her hand in friendship "like old times."

Sapphire stepped away saying "uuh" in an awkward way.

"Wait, what do you mean uh?" asked Zircon, with a shock face.

"Zircon if this is about you deciding to give our friendship another chance than I am all about that" answered Sapphire, turning away to look at the White "I want things to go back the way they are too, but I had a plan". Zircon just stood there and said "right" thinking Sapphire still won't let go of her plans and stubbornness, then suddenly Zircon color began to fade.

"I'm not just some messed up innocent criminal Zirc hoping for another chance" resumed Sapphire.

Finally Zircon walked away feeling like a downer with out letting Sapphire finish. Sapphire turned to face Zircon but she saw her left. Terra and Red were waiting for them when suddenly they saw Zircon all black and grey. They were shocked.

"Zircon what happened?" asked Terra, feeling worried for her.

"Turns out she didn't accept the offer, for the first time in my life I know what it's like to be black and grey". answered Zircon, looking sad. Suddenly the upgraded hexbot snatched Zircon and went away with her. Terra and Red were frightened, they shouted her name together in horror "ZIRCON!"

Sapphire walked out of the the controller at the other side of it, she wanted to be alone with her thoughts. Sapphire walked at the White, she looked at it and tried to daydream something to take her mind of it but she can't, how can she daydream after refusing Zircon's offer, she felt ashamed and overwhelmed. Suddenly Red and Terra popped out of nowhere and gave Sapphire a heart attack. "Ah! Don't do that!" she yelled.

Terra and Red explained to her what happened to Zircon.

"Sapphire that big evil robot got Zircon back in the Universe!" Terra explained.

Sapphire gasped.

"She left looking all black and grey, what did you say to her?" asked Red.

"It's what I didn't say" answered Sapphire "We gotta go get her."

"But how are we gonna get to her on time before she gets annihilated?" Red asked in a panic.

"Grrr, I can't believe I'm doing this" said Sapphire walking towards Red and Terra with a mad look "If you two tell anyone you saw this I'll break more than those bones" she said with anger. Red and Terra gulped and promised. Sapphire did something she hated to do, she began to tra la la to call for the Space Dragon like in the myth they asked, only she was too embarrassed to explain it to them. Sapphire took her headband off to let her long hair flow, she took her wand out of her pocket and started waving it all graceful and girly. She tra la la while twirling and waving her wand to call the Space dragon. Terra and Red stood their watching and waiting to see what will happen. Soon a space dragon heard her call and arrived. Red and Terra were amazed, Red's mouth was wide open.

"Space Dragons do love Lady Royals it's not a myth, it's not a myth at all" said Red, excited.

They hopped on the dragon and Sapphire put her headband back on fixing it short again, and hiding her wand. She also handed Terra her memories all sealed together in a tiny pill. But Terra wasn't ready so she put it in her pocket, she'll save it for when the time is right after they save Zircon. Sapphire gave her a proud and determine smile "now let's go rescue Zircon" she said.

They ride the Space Dragon out of the White and back into the universe to save Zircon.
