Preparing The Troops

I'll be leaving author notes here and there when I feel the need to explain certain things. (AN: So think of this as my thought bubble to help you visualize or better understand where I'm coming from.)

•••••••

"Summon Empowered Undead Soldiers."

A large Black Pentagram was placed on the center of the cavern floor, what emerged was ten Undead Goblin Foot Soldiers strengthened by the extra Mana refining their outward appearance to appear more alive.

"Master, we are ready to serve!" The Undead Goblins spoke in unison as they kneeled.

"Rise, I need two to guard at the entrance, but for now stand separate from the rest I have to Summon a Shadow for all of you."

As they all rose, two stepped to the right from the rest to wait for their 'Shadows' to appear.

"Summoning Lesser Parasitic Void Spawn"

A Violet Pentagram appeared and with it came twenty thin 5' meter long Gray worms, with six barbed tentacles laced with a Parasitic Poison.

"His!" All twenty Void Spawns hissed a welcome to me as they lowered their heads and retracted their tentacles into their bodies.

"Rise, I need two pairs of Void Spawns for each Goblin Soldier. One will enter the Undead Goblin body and incubate Parasitic Poison throughout their system, the second Void Spawn is to hide in the Shadow of their Goblin and stealthily infect every Living Goblin in this cavern, all except the Chief and his elite Goblins."

"All Void Spawns are to create parasites that are sterile and keep the Goblins flaccid, make the poison the parasites carry slow attacking and eventually killing their mobility."

"Hiss, Hissss!" And like so all the Void Spawns executed my orders without question, taking root in their chosen Goblin body, while the other used Void Magic to enter their Goblin shadow.

The ten Undead Goblins were finally equipped with their shadows, I looked at the two ready to leave before stopping them.

"Halt, if a female Goblin by the name of Mylan comes with a group of her sisters, let them in; any other Goblins who force their way here are to be killed and their bodies brought to me."

"Of Course, Master" They Nodded and then left to follow my command.

I was pleased with my work so far, I'll take away the Goblin's favorite pastime as well as their ability to grow at a rapid pace, and then when the poison kicks in their lives will be mine to toy with.

I crossed my skeletal arms under my chest and remembered another issue, I had no form of clothing covering my exposed skeletal frame.

"Equip Voidmancer Cloak and Staff."

As I finished, I was then suddenly cloaked by a Violet Vortex and Shadows, when they dispersed I appeared again, but this time I wore a Black and dark dark violet cloak that came with gloves, pants, and boots with the same color design. (AN: So picture an Obsidian skeleton wearing an Assassins Creed getup.)

As I inspected my new attire, I was pleased with how practical it felt; if the need to flee or battle in close combat ever arises at least I'll know my clothes won't hinder me.

To my left was my staff balancing on its own and seemed to have adjusted around my height, being a 4ft long Obsidian colored steel shaft in casing a Violet Orb mounted on the top with runes etched into it.

"Hmmm, I wonder if I can still grow a bit taller?" Just as I was wondering about my future development, the system sent me a notification.

[Death Essences acquired: 10]
[Death Essences acquired: 10]

"Oh looks like my first corpses arrived, hehe"

The two Undead Goblin guards came back dragging the two Goblins they'd killed while their 'Shadows' cleaned the blood trail left behind.

"Pile them to the left near the wall, don't block the furniture, it be rude to my future disciple if she can't reach her belongings." I was jesting, but my servants knew better and dared not disobey my order and left the bodies to the side ensuring to not obstruct the area.

"Good good, continue your work for now, leave." I shooed them away as I took my seat on a chair made of a beast's bones.

"Yes, Master." They bowed in response and took off to guard the entrance again.

"The rest of you may kneel for now, we must wait for my future disciple and her sisters to arrive before you can carry out your future missions, do I make myself clear?"

"Yes Master, We wait for your honored student's arrival." One of the Undead spoke for the rest as they all then took a knee and lowered their head's

Honestly, I'm glad they bowed their heads because despite the fact my emotions were in check I could not wash away the urge to vaporize them.

I might have changed a lot, but I'm still Soultien the orphaned boy who held in his once-beating heart a profound hate for these savages because I was powerless.

But now that I have it, I can't seem to properly quell these urges to kill these Green bastards anymore, even my own Summoned Undead Goblin Soldiers won't be spared.

Hurry back my disciple, don't make me wait... I must have my revenge to go as planned, It's the only way they'll truly despair, besides a swift death!!
