Yagos head rolled, but it wasnt by Zakai's scythe

looking up at a building, Zakai watched as his cheek was cut, blood running through the wound

"Woops," A boy laughed. It was the vice-captain of the golden dawn, Langris

Zakai healed his wounds with ease as he looked towards the vice-captain and taunted

"Oh? the vice-captain of the golden dawn has such bad aim, the squad must be going down."

The vice-captain was extremely sadistic and cunning from what he heard

he jumped down from the building and whispered

"even so, it's a power level you can never dream of, peasent."

Zakai rolled his eyes, tripping the boy up with his foot "Oh, sorry there m'lord, this humble peasent shall take your hand or are you independent and strong enough to stand up yourself?"

Langris had a vein popping out of his head

"Oh look, the lord is powerful enough to stand up!" Zakai continued. there wasn't anything worse than being looked down on by a kid that looked half of his age

he was around 20, but he was like 5"4

Langris was about to strike when a figure appeared at his previous location

"Langris, come on." It was yuno, who had his sprit out

"Don't command me, I'm superior to you," Langris muttered, following

Zakai shoved the book in his soul, causing his grimoire to absorb the book

Mucus magic didn't interest him much

"Hmmm?" Zakai saw the mucus magic fuse with swamp magic, making marsh magic

"Interesting," Zakai said. marsh magic was the same as swamp magic, but those who are stuck have a harder time getting out and have their magic-powered absorbed faster

"Come on, we need to go provide some support," Zakai said to Veronica, who gave a nod

while running through the buildings, Zakai watched as yuno fight 2 of the eight shining generals, Broccos and Ragus

"Come on."

Zakai jumped toward the panting Yuno, who was having a hard time against 2

Yuno was about to tell Zakai to go away and help someone else, but Zakai stared at him, causing him to shut up

he knew his self-worth, and 2 was too much

"OH, ANOTHER OPPONENT." the bulky man, Broccos , gave a laugh

Broccos was a mage that used Red Ochre, an oxidised clay that wasn't known at all

the second was ragus, a lightning mage

"Shut up you meathead." Ragus shouted back, summoning a volley of lightning arrows aimed at Zakai

"Don't tell me what to do!"

"You get Ragus." Zakai said to yuno, who nodded "Veronica, provide support by freezing them when you can please."

Veronica nodded, using shadow paralysis on Ragus, who was ready to shoot his arrows

"CLOSE COMBAT? BOLD, I LIKE IT!" Broccus shouted, rushing up with his fist covered in the red clay

Zakai didn't want to bear the brunt of those, so he tried to neutralize the man's speed with the new spell he gained

"[Swamp magic: The ogre's domain]"

A large ogre made out mud and mucus arose from the ground, trying to absorb Broccus, who dodged its blows

Summoning a large amount of wind, Zakai used it to push Broccus into the ogre

"My magic!" He shouted, trying to break free as he watched the mud solidly, chaining his arms and legs while his mana was being absorbed

"Always leaving me to rescue after you." Ragus sighed, sending a strong lightning arrow and sending it to the orge, which was scorched and exploded from the blast

the damage was done, however, as Broccus was panting due to the lack of mana

Ragus split-second glance away from Yuno caused the boy to shoot a wind blade at Ragus , causing a long wound to erupt from his chest

"Veronica!" Zakai shouted, getting his scythe ready

Nomu shot towards Ragus, who managed to jump up in the air, blocking nomu's attempt to freeze him

Zakai rushed up with a scythe, causing Ragus to laugh

"Got you."

A reign of Lightning Arrows drew across Ragus chest and was aimed at Zakai's chest

"Shit!" Zakai shouted, realizing he couldn't twist his scythe in time to block the blow

it felt like time stopped for Zakai as he assessed the situation

"What should I do?" Zakai thought looking at the lightning arrows "Barrier magic? too slow. paper magic? too slow"

the lightning arrows were rapidly approaching when a figure came out of Zakai's grimoire and blocked the arrows for him, as a meatshield

"Fenrir!" Zakai shouted, watching as the dog fell down was impaled with the lightning arrow and fell down while whimpering

"YOU BASTARD!" Zakai shouted, grabbing his scythe and cutting down on Ramus body, splitting his body in half

"Ramu-!" Broccus shouted but was cut in half by Yuno's wind blade, a foolish mistake for a battlefield

Zakai jumped down to the dog, who was whimpering in pain

First, Zakai removed the broken shafts of the lightning arrows with his bare hands, causing him to wince in pain

Blessed water magic wasn't doing the job here

although the doggo was a spirit, they had psychical bodies

and if he went into the grimoire, he would still bleed out

"I need something stronger" Zakai thought, his mind scanning through the list of magic

"That...might work!" Zakai thought, before saying to yuno and Veronica "Go and get those bodies, quickly!"

Both quickly dragged the body of the deceased generals near Zakai, who cut a portion of his skin off his arm and chanted

"[Curse magic: Demon's curse]"

the spell lets the user create a "Miracle" when enough mana is presented. 2 of the generals and some of his is good enough

the spell took control of his body, as his armed drew a pentagram of blood around the 2 corpses and him, although the circle he was standing in wasn't as large as the others

a complex magic circle made out of blood was around the 2 corpses and Zakai as he muttered

"[I, a humble servant of those below, request the safety of this majestic spirits life. heal the wolf, and the sacrifice is yours.]"

Zakai had regained the movement of his body as the magic circle rose to life

the circle shone in red light before it started absorbing Zakai's mana and the mana of the 2 deceased generals. the mana was being redirected to the wolf, who was unconsciously absorbing the mana, healing its wounds. although spirits had a psychical body, they were made out of the purest mana in the world. Zakai's mana quality isn't enough to just directly impact the wolf to heal its wounds as if he did that it would have made the wolf weaker, not stronger

he didn't know whatever source was healing the wolf, but its mana was pure enough to heal the wolf, something he wasn't complaining about

after 2 minutes, Fenrir woke up, causing Zakai to go to it

"Never do that again, okay?" Zakai said, rubbing its belly

the doggo got up and licked Zakai's face, which caused him to laugh

Zakai got his grimoire to absorb the red ochre magic, even though it won't be useful

both were boring , but Red ochre just basically created a large clay armour to envelop his body
