The Heavenly City is situated at the south and is currently at the hand of the Qin Clan. The City is the largest city in the Southern continent and is considered the most prominent one in the whole Wolf's bane continent. The power of the City is on par with the Central Capital of the continent, but because the Qin Clan are all humble people, they never fight for power.
The Qin Clan has been around since the Ancient Heavenly battle, where the head of the clan fought against the heavenly emperor and claimed the freedom of the whole continent. Some say that the man in the stories became God for the sake of the continent, and others say he sacrificed himself to the heavenly emperor to free the people. But all of this was mere speculation, the only truth was that he was gone when the battle ended, and not a single part of him was found, as though he never existed.
The Qin clan's direct descendents ruled over the heavenly city when their head was gone. The head never had any children, nor was he married, so the title of the new head was bestowed upon his older brother. Yes, older brother. The former head was the youngest of the two brothers. Because he had shown the clan his great attributes, he became the head at the young age of Twenty, but he only lasted as the head for two years, before the heavens struck his crown and made him fall from grace.
The Qin Clan continued to prosper for hundreds of thousands of years, producing amazing mages and sword cultivators who protect and defend the clan. Then on their seven hundredth family descendant did the family fall. The man named Qin Zuijia was born.
In only a day the main family died, and only a few from the branch family were left. Now the current head was no longer from the main family, but from the branch family who fought restlessly until the demon left on his own accord.
This was the story eighty years ago. Now the Qin family has Qin Zuijia locked up in a dungeon filled with barriers, chains, and spells. If even the man tries to escape, he would face a painful punishment. A cut that will never heal, would be infested with worms and bugs, would smell like rotten flesh, and will make you wish for death.
-------
The sounds of footsteps resound all throughout the dungeon. The pitter-patter of the water interlocking with the aura around the man made the whole place freeze up. His arms were folded to his back, making his shoulders look sharp and elegant. His neck exposed, and his Adam's apple showed pure masculinity. His jawline is sharp and strong. His lips were thin, peachy and no trace of a smile can be detected. But his eyes. His deep dark eyes seem to carry with him a cold dark void. His gaze alone could cut through ice, his brows often knitted, but no trace of arrogance in his demeanor. The eyes he had were void of fear. One look and everything around him seems to freeze.
He wore White and blue clothes with silver cloud patterns adorned on his sky blue robe. And often you'd think of him as a deity.
He walk past the first cell, pass the second, and the third to the last cell. One can faintly hear the gasping from the inside, as though someone was on the verge of dying.
The cell was covered with spells and barriers, and the man inside were donned with shackles. The man inside were soaked with water, dripping from the top. The smell of blood seeped through the bars, as the blood itself flowed from his forehead.
His eyes were unfocused, hair disheveled, clothes a mess, and by the looks of it, he was dying. But with closer inspection, one would see that his soul was still full of life. Only the barriers force him into submission.
The man in white caressed the iron bars separating himself and the man inside. His temperament was calm, but his eyes said otherwise.
Everyone knew of this person's disgust towards the other, and only god knew what he wanted to do with him. He's a gentleman, but facing the Villain that destroyed the name of his family, his eyes were filled with killing intent.
"Does this infamous villain plead guilty?" The man in white said coldly.
The one inside the cell had his head lowered, but replied still. "This poor mage is guilty."
The man in white slammed his hands on the iron bars. "What crime are you guilty for?" His voice hoarse and his words shake as if at any moment he's going to snap.
The guards at the side took notice of the man's shaking hands. They unconsciously step back in fear that they would be harmed by him.
The man inside the cell noticed the retreating figures of the guards and guessed that this person might have a strong background. Probably the new Clan head or the young master. Even so, he dare not linger in that thought. He was awaiting death, finding out the other person's identity is none of his concern. He lifted his head to meet the man's murderous eyes.
"I failed as a practitioner under the Qin Clan." He said. When those words came out of his mouth, he couldn't help but feel lost. Never in his life did he thought of killing those people. He has always been upright. He was cold on the outside, but secretly he was kind. Nevertheless, he still needs to be punished. His eyes started to mist and tears were forming on each side.
The man in white looked at the other's eyes. Each moment he recorded in his mind, trying to decipher what kind of lunatic he really is. But the eyes he was looking at were unfocused, filled with sorrow, guilt, fear and lingering depression. His gaze softened. He bit his lip with dissatisfaction. The man in front didn't seem to be the same heartless man that killed those thousands of practitioners.
"Do you-" The man in white stammered, looking at the man in front of his gave him a different feeling. It wasn't anger. He felt familiarity with the man, as if he met this person before.
He repressed the emerging thought inside his head and felt that it was just misunderstanding. How could this evil being compare with a legendary figure. It might just be because they are from the same family and has the same blood. When this thought came to mind, he let out a hot breath.
"What is your name?" The man inside the cell asked. He doesn't matter whether he knew the other or not, but the man's whole temperament seemed to resonate with him. He became fond of his sudden change of emotion. To the untrained eye, no one would see the changes, since the young man never showed any expression, but to him, his gaze was enough to understand. He hasn't met such an interesting fellow before, and he felt regretful that this is the last time he'd meet him. He sighed inwardly and smiled at the man opposite to him.
When the other saw his smile, it was as if he was pricked with thorns all over his body. He can't help but turn away. Was he scared? He can't be! But why did he felt different?
While he pondered over it, the man in the cell also took notice. Was he shy? He chuckled softly which made the man in white glance back at him.
The man inside the cell stopped laughing and stared at the other and smiled. "May I know this young master's name?" He didn't care whether he'd died this moment, but he must know who this person is. He was desperate to know who he is, and his excitement was shown with his shimmering eyes.
The man in white felt as if his body was burning. He bit his lip and said softly. "Wei-Wei. Xiao." The last part was said so quietly that no one heard it. The man immediately regretted talking and ran outside.
The man inside the cell smiled. In his mind, if that person was the one who would kill him, he wouldn't retaliate, he would gladly accept fate. With that in mind his smile froze, he no longer felt happy, his heart full of regret. He slumped into the ground and coughed repeatedly.
