Chapter 7: Setting the tone

Chapter 7: Setting the tone

I stood up from my spot holding the sword in my hand, but clearly that was not scary enough since the kid proceeded to spray more water on my pants.

This time, I dodged it fairly easily, since I could 'see' everything.

His laughter reduced a little, but his friends who were oblivious were still laughing.

6 guys, 14 girls. The boys were probably trying to impress the group of girls and they picked me who was talking to no one.

I mean I have seen stuff like this before, and I have been the one who picked on people before, but that all changed when life became real.

When you find out that you have nothing to strive for in your life, that everything is pointless. When you hit the bottom is when you find yourself as a man.

These little kids need to wake up. Maybe what I am about to do is charity work for them.

I ran towards them, but my body was still considered 'human,' I did not have any training over the past few days but still that did not stop me.

I ran towards them at full sprint, with the sword held in both hands.

It looked weird, since I am not yet used to running with the sword, but to the child who was trying to hit me with water, he was terrified.

He tried to spray to the right, I would just move to the left.

Trying to hit my legs? Just jump a little.

My head? I can just duck.

Soon his friends started to realise what was going on and stopped laughing.

When he was about a metre from me, I swung my sword down right at him.

He stumbled backwards, tripped and fell. I didn't even get to hit him.

"Hey! You hit him!" Shouted one of the girls at the back. I just ignored her.

"Why you little!" Shouted one of the boys from the side, as his entire arm grew and glowed in a reddish colour.

Just to be safe, I assumed his skill is gigantification, and that his punches would have more power. Imagine having a grimoire skill of 'I can grow my hand larger.'

I dodged his full swing easily because I could 'see' it, and used the hilt of the sword to swing down with all my might.

I hit his back hard, causing him to fall down.

I then also realised that the sword is just useless to me. Sure its menacing, but I don't know what I'm doing with it, so I just threw it on the ground, and kicked the fucker who was now on the ground.

The original kid who was nearby was trying to stand up, so I mustered all of my football knowledge and kicked the ever living shit out of his head.

After about 4 kicks, I started seeing red, just then I felt the force of 2 other boys from my back, trying to push me.

I used my elbow and hit the back of one's head, and pushed the other one off.

By now, I was extremely tired, that took everything out of me, but I did not stop. The adrenaline was fueling me right now.

I then saw a vine from the side, and just dodged it. The vine continued to chase me but I kept moving past it.

Eventually, I reached the boy who was using the vines and punched his face as well.

Right now, 5 of them were on the ground, 1 actually bleeding badly.

Did I care? Maybe.

Should I care? Probably.

Am I going to stop? No.

I moved to the last boy there as well who said," Stop man, the instructor is right there…stop….STOP YOU CRAZY GUY ARE YOU GOING TO KILL ME?"

I said nothing and punched him, twice in the face, a jab and an uppercut, then a massive kick to his stomach.

…Now, what I am about to do is the fun part.

Just when everyone thought everything was over, I looked over to the first girl and said," You know, I am a firm believer in something."

I said, as I moved towards her.

"W..and wha..what's that?" She asked, scared out of her mind.

'He wouldn't hit me…right? I'm a girl!'

I walked up to her and gave her a straight bitch slap with all of my heart and soul poured into it.

"Gender equality bitch." I said as I grabbed her by the head and pushed her head into the ground, before kicking her head in.

I then looked towards everyone and said," Well, that was fun. Ever wanna have a repeat let me know guys."

I then walked back to the sword, picked it up and decided to not sleep tonight, I just made an enemy out of a lot of people so it will be best to keep my guard up a little.

I did not ask Marco why he didn't stop us. There probably are some rules about this Academy which I will learn about soon.

I decided to try and move the Aura, not out of the sword, but into my body.

If the sword is continuously gaining Aura, why not move it into my own body. I already know which way to go, since I felt it before.

I don't remember it, but if I move Aura into a spot it hasn't been, my body will go numb, so I can figure it out with trial and error.

After thinking about this, I got into a comfortable position and bit the hilt of the sword.

Then, I tried my best to get the Aura to move into my mouth.

It took a long while, but a miniscule amount eventually did move, about a strand's worth.

It was barely anything compared to the Aura from the potion before or the Aura on this sword right now.

I slowly moved the Aura all around my body but right as I was about to send it into my heart, I felt a massive amount of Aura from my chest push the strand out of my body.

I woke up in anger, to see Marco looking at me with a small smirk.

"It's good that you are talented and smart in using Aura, but I said wait. I'll let you move Aura into your heart after you can keep your sword in ring form for 1 day."

He said as he left.

I didn't get why, I kept trying to think about it.

Why would he stop me?

Wasn't the entire point to keep the Aura inside of your heart so you have easy access to large amounts of Aura?

I then calmed down, noticing the places where my aura had been had become a little sore.

Mainly the path my Aura took, so my circulatory system, from my stomach, to my shoulders, lungs and heart.

Why were they numb, I did not really know, so I decided to repeat my actions, but this time not lend the strand into my heart.

The second it reaches my heart I will disperse it.

I can't just let it stay in my body since all red-blood-cells eventually goes back to the heart.

After continuously doing this for the entire knight, I realised that my shoulders, chest, stomach and lungs hurt like crazy.

It was like after a crazy workout session.

"Here, take this. I am sharing mine so you only get 1 every 3 days." Marco said as he passed a potion to me.

I drank it, all the fatigue that had built up left my body and I could feel myself stronger than before.

It felt like…I was training my body and it got stronger due to that.

Wait…is that why he stopped me from using Aura? Since my body was not strong enough?

(POV Marco)

The kids' definitely a genius. He also seems to have figured out half the reason why I won't let him move Aura into his heart.

When Aura is in your heart and stays there, it slowly gets amplified and tempers your heart slowly.

But due to this, when the Aura is pumped into the blood vessels, it will cause all of them to rupture.

What he also does not understand is that Aura is extremely delicate requiring extreme control. If he can't have 100% concentration on the Aura after it's in his heart it will explode.

That's why he needs to subconsciously learn to control Aura to stay in control, that's why I gave him the training sword, it's the most efficient way to learn.

If he can finish the training of the training sword, he will be able to control a miniscule amount of Aura to stay in his heart.

After that and slow tempering, he can become a Rank 1, but this process cannot be rushed.

He needs to slowly build his body's physical capabilities up, rushing at any point can be detrimental.

Sigh, I probably need to explain this to him tomorrow, I don't want him experimenting and dying.

Geniuses really are built differently…it took me 2 weeks to sense Aura and I was the best of my generation.
