MANA—KI CONTROL

Chaos. In a place where there were green plants,a horrified woman was running bare feet through the forest.Tears rolled down her cheek as she held in her screams.On her hands was just a small baby covered in thick clothes,it was a sleeping baby boy.The woman had unexpectedly tripped and was cut by a sword that it's blade was pointed up and was

jèperson's body.She checked on the sleeping baby and was relieved to see him unharmed.

Her leg was wounded and had a long deep cut from her ankle to her thigh.She groaned in pain but did not open her mouth as she covered it with one hand.She tried to crawl,but then she fell again on her back.Tears rolled out of her eyes,tears of pain and distressed.The baby had woke up from his mother's cries and looked at her with his small blue eyes while lieing on her chest.He clearly didn't understand the situation.

A large man appeared from the bushes and slowly walked towards the lady.He wore a full set of blue armour covered in blood and had long beard.The woman became more distressed as she stood up with all the pain and picked a sword from the ground with one hand and pointed it at the man.The man was unfazed as he clapped both his hands together and flames erupted from them.

The view was covered in flames,and Krad was sweating as he shook left and right on the bed.He was sweating intensely as he screamed.

"Krad?!"Caleb jumped from his bed and walked to Krad who seemed to be having nightmares."Krad!"He held on Krad's shoulders and shaked him up and down.Krad eventually woke up and he was twisting and looking everywhere with horrific eyes."Was...th...that... D—Druid Sage?"Krad asked heavily breathing.

"What are you talking about?."Caleb asked."It was just a dream."Though it was a dream,Krad was sure that the man that was in a bloody armour was Druid,and the baby,was him."What happened yesterday?"Krad asked as he held his head.

"I should be the one asking you that."Caleb replied."Whatever happened to you yesterday when you passed out seems to also affect your mentality,I think."

"What were you dreaming about?"Caleb asked."You had never had nightmares before,at least since the time we knew each other."

Krad exhaled with a sigh and didn't know where to start.

"It was a woman—."

"What woman?And what happened to her?Who was she?"Caleb interrupted.

"Will you let me finish?"

"O—okay."

"I saw a woman running.She had a small baby on her arms and her eyes radiated with extreme distress. Unfortunately someone reached to her and...I think they began fighting..."Krad explained as the memories flashed in his mind uncontrollably.

"Who do you think they were?"Caleb asked taking it seriously.

"That...man...looked like Druid Sage,my guardian father.And the baby,looked like me?"Krad answered.

"Does that mean that the distressed woman...was your mom?.But if so,then it means that,Druid killed your biological mother."Caleb said what was in his mind and forgot that it affected Krad in a more sincere way.

"S—sorry buddy.I wasn't supposed to make the conclusions for you."Caleb apologized ."You don't need to be sorry.Your reasoning may be correct."Krad said.

Caleb did not expect this at all.He was expecting Krad to yell at him for invading his personal life,but instead,Krad was supporting him.Wasn't he affected, Druid,the one that had raised him from childhood, happened to be the one that killed his real mom.A parent he had never seen or grown up with.

"Anyway,it was just a dream."Krad said as he patted his friend on the shoulder and they began preparing for their today's lesson.

In a different room on the same floor,the girls were planning for training today after class,but Wendy brought up an issue that they couldn't decide."Why can't we include the boys?"She asked.

"Don't you think that the boys are already powerful than we are, mostly Krad,he gets stronger than we do faster."Hellen replied.

"Are you jealous?"Maya asked.She had cut her other pony tail to match the height of the other one that was cut by Krad,now her red hair reached only her waist line. She actually loved this length and she thought of herself as beautiful than she was before with the two long pony tails.

"Me, jealous?"Hellen asked back with her hands on her chest in shock."Am not jealous.In fact,Krad is the kind of type I love to challenge,but don't you two think that if we include them. they will just defeat us quickly and we won't be able to train for long."

"I think we are ready for them."Wendy said."We have been training for long now and I can feel that am more powerful.Let them in Hellen,they will help in pushing ourselves to the limits and grow stronger."

Hellen smiled back as she nodded her head in agreement."Now I see that you want us to work as a team.And looks like you have a crush on one of them."

Wendy felt very stupid."Were you trying to..."She felt like she could make her way towards Hellen and give her an eternal slap as her face became red.The other two were laughing at her as they high fived.

Now in the combat class, Sensei was explaining what he will be teaching them today."Long long before the war and in the time of peace,humans were unable to control the movement of their mana.That meant that ,they could only rely its use on powering magic.But thanks to...a certain werewolf,he replicated mana with ki.He taught humans how to move the mana,just like werewolves did with ki,and he also helped us in activating our human ki."

"So today I will teach you how to infuse your attacks with ki to make it stronger,and also adding mana, to give your attack a magic attribute.May it be fire,water,ice or any simple magic you can summon."

"First I'll teach how to activate your Ki.Before that,you need to know that,ki is combined with life energy and you shouldn't overuse it.If you ever use it in excess nonstop,you will run out of ki,and as a throwback,you will unknowingly use your life energy and you may die."

Everyone was shocked by this.If using ki was that dangerous,then where was the reason of ever using it?Sensei picked five students,two of them being Krad and Caleb."I selected you five because of what I. saw from you yesterday.I willl first teach you how to control the ki,and then you will help teach the others.Understood?"They nodded.

The first one was Krad.He was addressed to sit on the floor in crossed legs,then Sensei placed his palms on his back."I need you to close your eyes and concentrate on the energy that I'll be putting in you."Sensei said.Closing his eyes as told,Krad concentrated on where Sensei's hand were.He could feel it,he felt a warm feeling leaving Sensei's hand and entering him.

Concentrating on where the energy was heading to,in the dark vision Krad saw a yellow type of energy ball,it was small,the size of an apple.Sensei's ki mixed up with the ball,making it a little bigger and it started shifting all about."I want you to adapt on moving the ball."He concentrated more,and after some time of concentration,he felt a connection to the ball.He began moving it all around and all over his body,to his hands, legs,head,eyes everywhere.

"Now I need you to forget about the ki,and focus on activating one of your magic spells,but don't let it out.I need you to keep the spell in and locate the energy source.If successful, you'll see a white ball of aura next to the ki ball."

*Wind ball*

Immediately he activated the skill,a ball of wind had formed in his hand.He held on it with all his strength not letting it go.On the struggle to maintain it,he could feel a weird energy traveling in his hand from his chest and entering the ball, making it even harder to hold.'Relax Krad.'He thought to himself as he concentrated on the energy.In the dark vision he saw a long purple line of aura traveling from somewhere.

With his mind he traced the source,and he could see a ball of purple aura next to the ki ball.This one was twice the size of the other,as the aura shifted and moved around like crazy.'Is that my mana, isn't it supposed to be white as Sensei said?...right,am a megahuman.Maybe that has something to do with the colour.'

After getting used to it,Sensei had removed the small amounts of his ki that was mixed with Krad's."Go on and teach the others,after that you will train yesterday's moves while infusing mana and ki."
