the reason

i woke up the next morning to find erza in my bed with me i sigh as there is no point to wake her up and head downstairs i and make her breakfast as thanks as that is how i work

"god" i ask before entering the room with the food

"yes" god replied

"can i ask a favor outside my wishes" i ask

"what" god said

"i want to show her why i am so cold to everyone as i am sure she realized what i show is not who i am" i said

"you want to her to meet me as well" god said slightly amused

i nodded "you are truly the only one i trust" i said

he nodded "i will allow it as an extra wish because of your dark past" god said

"thank you" i replied

than i took the food and put it somewhere for it to stay warm and went back into the room got my clothes went into the bathroom and got dressed than i returned sat on my bed and waited

she woke up eyed me before "i was expecting a reaction to you finding me sleeping with you" she said

"and what would be the point in that" i said than continued "all the would have answered to is waking you up for no apparent reason and i may be cold but i am not evil" i replied

she nodded "why are you so cold to everyone you act friendly but i can tell that is just an act" she said

"would you like me to show you and you will also meet the powerful being who gave me magic and is also the only one i trust" i asked

"yes" she replied

"prepare yourself" i said she nodded that she was ready than we were transported to the void

"jon where are we" she asked

"the void" i replied

"what" she said a little scared

"calm down" god said "he warned you to prepare yourself" he continued

"who are you" erza asked

"i am who your people call god" god said

"god is the only being you trust" erza said shocked

"god reincarnated me into your world what i have asked god to show you is why i'm so cold and what happened to me why everything i had crumbled down on me in the same day" i said she nodded slightly shocked

"does your world not have magic" she asked

"if i did i would have went on a killing spree until someone killed me but no, my world revolves around technology so you may see things that don't exist back in your world now you will only be seeing two peoples experiences mine and the person that began all of my problems my fiancee" i said

she nodded

"we will start in my point of view then transfer as i can explain how i felt however i want you to see how i felt from another so are you ready" i asked

she nodded

"you will be able to not only see from the eyes of the individual we will be inhabiting but also feel there emotions" god said

she nodded

"thank you god" i said

"you are welcome are we ready" god said erza immediately nodded i hesitated before nodding as i wanted to forget everything about my past life but figured that this will be the last time

'then here we go"

and then i saw myself entering the apartment building and heading up to where my fiancee's apartment was and you could tell i was in a really good mood

i walked through the door of my apartment and you could here someone having sex and i could tell it was my fiancee and some other dude at that i saw erza's reaction but i calmed her down as i wanted her to watch i didn't want others pity and then you could see me as quietly as i could i wrote a paper letter put my phone on the table and walked out the door closing it so no one could notice and then heading back down to my car

but when i walked out i noticed my lawyer

"hey i said what are you doing here" i asked

"we need to talk can we head up to your apartment" he asked

"i don't think that would be very wise" i said he nodded

"than do you mind if we head to my place" he asked

"not at all in fact that would be preferable" i said trying very hard to keep the sadness of the betrayal off my face

he nodded than we went to our cars and got in then we drove to his house he had a nice place

and then it stopped and we returned to the void

"long story short he told me that my family was taking everything of mine they could get their hands on and selling it without telling me or even giving me a portion of the money in other words they were stealing my stuff and it gets worse as with the exception of my lawyer all of my friends i never heard from again with another exception of mike who was the one whole was having sex with my fiancee" i said

"i'm so sorry" erza said as she now understood exactly why i trusted no one

"oh and do you wanna know it got worse for me as that wasn't the last time i saw my fiancee now you get to see her side of the story but five months later" i said

and then we were in her body as she saw that i was coming and she ran towards me

"jon" she said

"hello elizabeth" i said formally

"aren't you going to come back" she asked

"did you read the letter i left" i asked retaining my formality

"but" she said

"elizabeth we have nothing to discuss, good day" i said formally

and right then i could see it and i'm curtain so could erza the sad betrayed expression on my face

"wait please" she begged and i stopped but did not turn around

"do you have a car" i asked

"no" she replied

"than i will take you home" i said even though i was betrayed i still held onto my ideals as that was all i had left

she nodded and we got into my car that i bought two weeks ago as i sold my last one just ton be sure my family couldn't get their hands on it too as i drove we sat there in silence then

"could we talk in my apartment" she asked i nodded only because i knew she would have kept asking if i didn't and then as my spirit could feel she had hope and i was slightly pleased that her hope would be dashed

we got back to the apartment building and i got out we went up to the apartment and i watched as i sat down in my usual spot on the couch and then it began the conversation that almost broke me but than the worst thing that could ever happen for her did

"no matter what i say you wont come back" she said

"why should i when i tried so hard to be perfect for you" i said

"i took care of you i did everything you wanted i bent over backwards all the arguments we had that i dropped even though i was right i broke every communication with a good half my friends simply because they were girls all for you and what do i get for all of my loyalty and work i come home to find you with some other dude which by the way i have been curious who did you do it with" i said which was more like a rant

"mike" she said

"whelp that answers why all of my friends besides my lawyer ditched me" i said feeling even more betrayed

and then the spirit me had a small smirk on my face and erza saw it but she also saw my eyes and what she saw was betrayal

right after i said that there was a knock on the door and she cursed then went to answer the door and found that it was mike and she started crying the moment she saw him as mike saw that he brought her into the apartment and saw me and then he knew why she was crying and i waited the me sitting on the couch waited for her to stop before getting up

"i hope you too are happy with each other elizabeth take care of of yourself and mike i hope you do your best to take care of her and i hope you both live happy lives" with that i opened the door and to the apartment

"ciao" i said and left

and then once again we returned to the void

"thanks god" i said

"is that all you require" he asked

"yep i still don't know what to wish for" i said

"than i shall return you"
