#Chapter31
A broken family
Nixon
I sat in my church, rubbing my face and figuring out what to do about Kaiden. My boy is suffering, Kat is hurting, and Kain is angry. I stared at the cross that held Jesus, wanting answers. Finally, I stood up and started walking towards the cross.
/"How is it that I come to you for others, but my family is hurting? I pray every day for Kaiden and receive nothing. I beg you to help him, and you ignore me! Why can’t you help me?/" I dropped to my knees. My family's broken, and I can’t fix them.
I lowered my head as tears fell. I wanted nothing to happen to Kaiden or Kain. It would kill me.
Someone touched me, and I turned to see my brothers. I furrowed my brows at them as they looked at me with concern. I got to my feet as I looked at Nash as my lip quivered.
/"It’s okay,/" Nash said, pulling me to him.
I wrapped my arms around him and sobbed. More arms wrap around me, offering me comfort.
