Perseus.

After that, Laine quickly used his spell, Binding aura, to crush the Swordsman that had been punched before.

"Just as I suspected, too much resistance."

Even though his aura was powerful, the tier difference still played a major role.

"At this rate, I won't be able to crush it. Well, I do have another way."

"Complete View!" A level 5 spell, which allowed him to figure out the weakest points of his enemies.

"Looks as if its weak point was located near its shoulders."

Just as he was about to use Water Jab, the other Swordsman, who was shocked due to the sudden resurgence of aura, snapped out of the shock. It used its sword to cut Laine down.

"Tch, Annoying." Laine used Binding aura again and turned some part of his aura into chains. The chains flew towards the swordsman and it was bound and chained to the tree.

Laine took the second Swordsman's sword from its hand and turned towards the first monster. He didn't use the sword on it, however.

He proceeded to use a water jab on the First Swordsman's shoulder, and it howled with pain. He used another one to break his shoulder, and the pressure from the second move sent it flying back, towards another tree.

Before he could reach the tree, however, Laine used Binding aura again and changed the swordsman's trajectory. He sent it flying towards a sharp branch.

The branch pierced the monster's heart. He was dead.

"It's your turn now," Laine said while looking at the high-tiered monster.

He then used the sword he had taken from the monster and used his skill, Sword of pride, on the monster's head. It died instantly.

He then retrieved both of their bodies and climbed down from the tree after checking his surroundings thoroughly.

He buried the two monsters in front of the tree that was the place of his first breakthrough.

It was his tribute to the forest.

He had killed the two monsters that were pursuing him. Now, he had to kill the rest of the monsters that were in the forest.

With his current power, it wouldn't be too difficult. However, he decided that he should train more in this state to understand it.

He tried using his spells, and he felt a marginal difference while using them. He was not as powerful as he had once been, but his senses had greatly improved. He was able to execute his spells with more focus and clarity.

But the main improvement was in his skills. He was able to execute his skills flawlessly. He was able to think, move without any hesitation, and perform with maximum efficiency. Even if the strength wasn't too great as compared to his previous self, but he was less constricted than he had previously been.

"Well-done, Brat." Zeus finally spoke up.

"It wouldn't have been possible without you. You are a clever guy, aren't you Zeus?" Laine honestly thanked Zeus.

Zeus chuckled."That I am. Now that you have finally broken through, let me tell you something about your current status. Be thankful, people have died trying to get just one piece of advice from me."

"Yes. yes. I am Very Grateful. Now can you please continue?" Laine said mockingly. He had no intention to give in to Zeus and start treating him as his master. It just didn't feel right. Mocking him was oddly satisfying and kept them both on equal terms.

"You can use all the skills that you have learned, and those are the only way you are going to reach this state at different locations and different environments."

"And also, you can use all the elements, so feel free to learn all the spells you can."

"What!" Laine was shocked. He wasn't expecting such an upgrade. A spell user with all the elements was a rarity that would happen only once in a hundred years.

"However, there is a catch." Zeus continued.

"You cannot use any spell until and unless you reach the state of Harmony with your surroundings at the location that you are fighting in."

"You made this deliberately difficult for me, didn't you, Zeus?"

Zeus laughed. "Hahahaha! Your instincts are quite sharp for a Brat, I'll give you that."

Laine sighed. He was expecting some sort of limitation, but he wasn't expecting it to be this hard.

"Well, now that I have explained things to you, what are you going to do?"

"For now, I'll go and train some more. Now that I can use spells, killing those swordsmen should be easier than before." Laine answered.

"Sure, but remember, curiosity killed the cat, overconfidence crushed the lion," Zeus commented.

"That sounds made up," Laine commented back.

"Hmph, what do you know? It's a saying from the heavens!" Zeus scoffed.

...

In the heavens,

"Has the old man finally found a successor, Kiyo?"

Kiyo was standing in one of the rooms of the castle of Olympus. She had been summoned by the current overseer of the place, Perseus.

"Yes, Master Perseus," she responded.

He asked another question, "Is he worthy to be his successor?"

"As of now, No," Kiyo replied.

"Well, I'll have to visit this person someday anyway, so could you please keep an eye on him?"

"Yes, master," Kiyo answered.

"Very well. Then inform me when he is ready. Please also give me a report on what happened in the soul realm. I wish to get to know more about this person."

"Yes, master."

"What is his name?" Perseus inquired.

"His name is Laine. He was previously a Grand Orc." Kiyo answered.

"Laine..."

Perseus was amused. He was happy that his teacher had finally found a suitable candidate.

He wanted to test this candidate as soon as possible, but he had to wait before he could do that. Because, as Kiyo said, he wasn't ready yet.

"Looks as if I have to wait a bit before I can see this candidate."

"Let's see who you have chosen, Teacher."
