Death Swordsman.

Just as he parried one of the swords, he was also able to identify the monsters headed his way.

He was currently in a forest, so the monsters were using guerilla warfare, and the sword that he had just parried was completely black.

Only two monsters matched his current description, The death Swordsmen and Blade Devourers.

But Blade Devourers were advanced tier monsters, hence the only possible answer was The Death. Swordsmen.

The death Swordsmen were Ghouls who had been cursed to live in the forest till their entire species got extinct. However one day, a swordsman entered the forest, and after devouring him, one of the ghouls found out about the art of swordsmanship. This ghoul trained other ghouls to become swordsmen. Even now, swordsmen from all over the world visit sanctuaries of these ghouls to offer tribute to them to offer tribute to them as they are the symbols of hard work and determination.

The tribute is in the form of black swords, which was allegedly the color of the sword that the first Death Swordsman used.

They are highly intelligent monsters with advanced understanding of tactical formations and strength that made them one of the strongest monsters in the high tier. 10 of them working together could easily kill 5 low-ranked super tier monsters.

At his current level, there was no way that he could take one of them directly, let alone 7 of them together.

But he had a plan.

"If they use guerilla warfare to pick on me, I will do the same to them. But mine will be more effective because of my trump card!"

It had never happened before that a lower-tiered person could use a level 3 skill, let alone a level 7 one.

He climbed a tree and started jumping from one tree to another to locate the Monsters, and after a while, he was able to locate all 7 of them.

"Looks as if they weren't going to be so easy to kill, after all."

The 7 monsters had formed 2 groups, each with three and four monsters respectively. It would be harder to run off after killing a monster. He wasn't able to use any restraining spells, so it was even more difficult to make it out of this situation alive.

"Wait a minute, I can use that!"

He then used water to jab at a branch of the tree he was currently standing on, which broke it, and it started to fall towards one of the Swordsmen. Just as it was about to hit him, the swordsman suddenly swung his blade towards the branch, splitting it into two parts.

This group had 3 swordsmen. The other group was not too far away. He had to be precise if he wanted an estimate on how hard it would be to kill these monsters.

"Just as I planned."

The swordsmen had already been taunted and were going to cut off the tree from which the branch fell off.

Laine jumped to the next three, and just as the leader of the party was about to strike the tree, Laine jumped towards the leader, aiming for his head.

However, the other swordsmen had already sensed him, they were ready to intercept him if he got too close.

"Strike That Shatters the Heavens!"

Laine had been found out, but he was heading straight towards the leader. He was falling, so he couldn't change his trajectory. The Swordsmen were looking straight at him. There was no way that he was getting out of this situation alive.

The had traced the look in his eyes. He was aiming for the leader's head.

They all stood in front of the leader, ready to block his arm before it could reach the leader's head.

"Argh!" The leader let out a painful yell.

He wasn't aiming for his head, but his hands!

Because his hands were already in motion, he wasn't able to defend against it. Laine had perfectly broken the leader's hands, and the only reason he was able to do so was because of deception.

He used his right hand to make it look as if he was going to strike the leader's head while performing Water Jab so that the swordsmen would think that he was trying to kill the leader with one blow. But he wasn't aiming for it. That was just to gather the attention of the other two swordsmen. Then,

After he successfully broke the leader's hand using his level 7 skill, he executed his main plan. Just as he saw the monsters rushing towards him, he grabbed the sword that the leader had dropped, and then, used his tier 6 skill, Sword of pride, on the Leader.

The hit connected, and the leader was beheaded.

However, the two monsters that were rushing towards him had already reached the minimum striking range.

It was game over for him...

Just as they were about to hit him, a tree fell towards them. This momentarily took their attention, and that was his turn to escape.

Laine had used his attack on the leader only when the leader was halfway through with cutting the tree. So, even if he broke the leader's hands, the tree would still help him to distract the Swordsmen for a second.

Quickly, he ran away from there, climbed a tree, and then jumped off to a faraway tree.

Plan successful!
