Chapter 6 : Awakening

Just to make it clear there are 3 form's that I will be referring to. 1st the paper form when she transforms into paper, second the angel form when she opened her wings, and lastly her human form when she goes back to human form.

( DIB main building )

'I think that's the marketplace.' I was walking aimlessly in the main building of DIB to find if there was a place I could buy some weapons.

I went to the marketplace of the DIB main building and saw that there were a lot of people buying and selling some monster cores, crystals, weapons, etc.

"Sir Buy some arrow's here it's on sale!" "Buy one take one for free" " 50% off on all the weapons"

The marketplace was lively and everyone was having deals here and there. I was a little annoyed at how crowded the place is so I changed into my paper form and looked around the marketplace.

'There's nothing special here.' I was a little disappointed as there were no special items at all.

I went to the huge magic circle that had a small number of people. It was not as crowded as the marketplace but still had quite a lot of people.

'What is this place?' I looked at a sign and read it.

[ Identification of Cultivation Roots, Mana Awakening, Hidden Skill's Awakening, and Class Awakening ]

'This seem's to be what the hunters call an awakening circle.' I went to my human form and walked to a clerk.

"Hello mam how may I help you?" A man said and vowed his head slightly.

"I want to awaken my mana, hidden skill, and my class and would like to identify my cultivation roots"

"Excuse me?" He asked in a confused tone.

"Do I have to repeat myself?"

"No mam, follow me" He walked to the tablet and bowed his head a little bit, and pointed at the grey-floured floor.

"Do I just need to step on it?"

"Yes, and the receipt will be given to you shortly after," He said and left afterward's.

Normally there would not even be a single person in the [ mana, class, and cultivation root's Awakening tablet ] as most of the people would have already awakened their mana, class, or cultivation roots once they enter the main building of the DIB agency.

"Look at that person, did she still not awaken?" "How could the DIB let her in?" " Is the DIB that desperate for the recruit's that they would even let an unawakened person join?"

They all murmured as they all talked to each other about this and that. I ignored them and just stepped in on the Awakening Tablet the magic circle was activated and blue light was glowing beneath me.

'Nothing seems to be wrong.'

I then felt mana go inside my entire body and was mixing with my chakra as well. I was mixing mana and chakra at the same time to make them one as I was doing this I did not notice that the tailed beasts were taking in the mana as well and is not doing as great as I was.

"I will now awaken your class and skills," He said and pulled a lever down.

'It seems to.....'

" * Scream * " I screamed in pain as my entire body was being shattered by millions of pieces.

"What's going on?" A man said and rushed to check the situation.

"Stop the awakening or the entire place will be blown up," A woman said as she cut the wire connecting the monster's core.

'What'.....s goi.....ng ....on?' I was feeling pain and could not move one bit.

[ Beginning synchronization with the surrounding life forms]

A voice popped up in my head and put that thought on the back of my head as I could feel eternal pain in my body that could not be explained in any way possible.

[ Class awakening has been done.

I heard a voice that was like a robot but put that thought in the back of my head as the pain kept on increasing and increasing by the second.

'W...hat..... was.... * scream *' I could feel my entire body radiating with strength and the pain was slowly decreasing.

The pain slowly but surely decreases at a rapid pace. I could feel my body having more strength than ever and I never lost consciousness and stayed awake the entire time to gain some resistance from the pain.

Smoke was everywhere and people were running around the room. My body was regenerating at a very alarming speed.

"Help her out quickly," A woman said and the other people ran to me immediately.

"I... D...o..n... Don't need anyone's help!!" I screamed and put my right hand on the ground and lifted my almost-dead body.

I opened my wings and flew up in the air realizing a strong gust of wind, making everyone back away as their hair flew everywhere.

Everyone saw my face which had paper falling out of my right cheek, from the mana explosion. I could feel everyone's gaze as they looked at me with astonishment, envy, and lust.

"Did you plan this to kill me?" I looked at Venus who was busy taking care of the fire.

"What no. This was all an accident!" She said as everyone listened to our conversation.

"Really? Then why did the mana explosion specifically explode when I entered and was perfectly fine when the others were using it?"

I looked at her with cold eyes and returned my body to how it normally was. Papers covered my body and were returning to normal, as they all saw me regenerating my body.

"Then explain why you can transform your body into paper first, like a robot"

Venus was saying it as if I was the criminal even though their awakening platform exploded and she is blaming all of their mistakes on me.

"This is just my skill and are you blaming me for your carelessness in taking care of a machine? Are you that poor, that you can't even manage it?" Everyone was listening to us and the fire slowly came down.

"Well she is not wrong" "Well it's kinda true" Everyone was now taking my side and Venus was now on deep sh*t.

"If this is how I am treated, then I quit! The DIB is remarkable in almost every way, but they are bad in treating their workers!" I said this to create a fight between them.

'This isn't how I usually act, but if I do this then everyone would see all their wrongdoing

Almost everyone already knew how shady the DIB is and how they pay less to their workers and make them work more than what they intended to, but no one was brave enough to do anything about this and just went along with the DIB's corruption.
