Six Hundred and Fifty Thousand

There were three common origins for the grievance that lingered in the human body: spontaneous, a living creature's and that of the dead.

Spontaneous grievances, as the name implied, was the grievance caused by dissatisfaction with certain things. This kind of grievance emerged from the heart and emitted a light color. It would dissipate naturally once the problem was solved. The second kind was the grievance that came from others. Other people's dissatisfaction and hatred against you would become a grievance, the color which it emitted was a little darker and this would gradually dissipate over time.

Only the dead had a very different kind of grievance. The anger emitted from the dead originally came from their desires left unfulfilled from when they were still alive. The color of this grievance was dark gray. Once entangled with someone, it would remain there. Unless it was handled by a talisman or spell, it would be hard to dispel.

It was grievances of the dead that had entwined themselves on Xu Yao's body. Le Yao could accurately guess that after going out, Xu Yao had either gone to the cemetery or had contacted a large number of dead spirits. But he couldn't ask about this directly, because although he was Xu Yao's wife, there were still things that shouldn't be said. The moment he asked something related to this, Xu Yao may see him as someone who had a mental problem, which definitely wouldn't be good for his future.

The sound of 'hua hua' came from the bathroom in a moment. It was obvious that Xu Yao had just started his bath. Le Yao hesitated a little and went to open his small backpack. He took out a small bag of cinnabar and put it in his pocket. He also took a brush, stuck the brush into the little dinosaur's stomach, and used the little dinosaur rattle as a bell. It became a little dinosaur 'magic wand'. He couldn't find any brass bells here, so hopefully this magic wand would do. He held and shook it in the air, the bells jingled, and the little dinosaur magic wand made a crisp sound which was very pleasant to hear.

The door suddenly opened and Uncle Ming and Yan Jie entered the room. Uncle Ming was holding a camouflaged blue suit, while Yan Jie had an aura around him similar to that of Xu Yao's, filled with grievance but a color that was lighter.

"Mr. Xiao Le, this is…" Uncle Ming saw what Le Yao was holding, "What is this?"

"Oh, there's nothing to do at home, so I made this child's rattle," Le Yao shook it, "Did you want to find Xu Yao?"

"No. I came here to give you this special sun protection suit. Please try it on." Uncle Ming added, "The General didn't have a suit of your size. So I had to specially ask someone to make a smaller one for you, that's why it took more time."

"Sorry for the trouble, Uncle Ming," Le Yao took the magic wand and the clothes into the bedroom. The suit was comfortable and fit him well.

It was a bit like the skin suit he had worn on Earth. But it was thicker and longer than that, and the headgear was not made the same way. As soon as it was worn, except for a pair of eyes that could be seen clearly, all the other places were covered.

Le Yao took off the suit and returned to the living room. He said with a smile, "It fits me well. Thank you, Uncle Ming."

At this time, the sound of the water in the bathroom stopped. Almost coincidentally, the three of them turned their eyes to the bathroom door, and no one spoke again until the person in the bathroom came out.

Xu Yao only had a white bath towel around his waist, his strong and firm muscles were exposed at a glance. He didn't dry his body very well, so there were some water drops on his chest muscles, and his hair was even watery. He looked like a wild animal that had just come ashore from the river. It was unspeakable attractive.

Yan Jie said, "Brother Xu, the medical staff are on their way."

Xu Yao was still being affected by some grievances. His face was gloomy and his tone was cold as he replied, "No need, let them go back."

Yan Jie looked at Le Yao and frowned slightly, "You don't need someone to take care of you?"

Xu Yao seemed to have a headache. He pressed his fingers to his forehead and said, "No need. Don't disturb me until tomorrow morning." He pointed his chin to Le Yao, "Besides, isn't there still another living person who can take care of me?"

Yan Jie still thought that this 'another living person' had a dark history! We are not at ease!

But Xu Yao's patience was obviously running out, so Yan Jie requested Le Yao, "Please take care of our General."

Le Yao actually wanted to say 'I don't want to take care of him! I have my own business to take care of!' But he didn't dare say that. He felt that if he said so, they would strangle him on the spot. Xu Yao's eyes looked so frightening at that moment. They were the same as those he had had on the battlefield picture that Le Yao had found in the beginning.

Yan Jie uttered his request and left. Uncle Ming didn't hurry to leave. He kindly told Le Yao, "The General sometimes become unhappy in the evening, but you don't have to be afraid of him. He usually stays angry for a little while, so it's good to just let him sleep. Now, what would you like for dinner? I'll send it to you later."

Le Yao remembered that there were some food ingredients in the fridge, so he replied, "There's no need to send us dinner, Uncle Ming. I'll make some dishes by myself later. I think there are fish and vegetables in the fridge."

Uncle Ming asked in surprise, "Mr. Xiao Le, you can cook?"

Le Yao said, "Just… a little."

In fact, it was not just 'a little'. After all, he used to cook for his Master when he lived in the Buddhist shop, and most of the time, he would make the dishes himself. So, he could cook almost all the dishes made frequently at home, along with some common desserts.

Uncle Ming said with a smile, "Well, give me a list of whatever else you need. And please take care of the General."

Le Yao nodded. Then he turned his head to look at the person who needed to be looked after. Seeing that the man had put his legs up on the tea table again, and that his eyes seemed to focus on nothing, he could not guess at his thoughts. He walked Uncle Ming to the main door and asked him in a low voice, "By the way, where can I buy white wine here? When I cook the fish, I want to put a little bit on it. I didn't see white wine in the kitchen."

Uncle Ming thought that white wine could get rid of the fishy smell, so he said that he would bring it later. He bid Le Yao goodbye and left.

Le Yao looked at the sky that had become darker and turned back to go into the house. When he saw that Xu Yao was still in that same position and had not moved even a bit, he understood that he shouldn't be disturbed.

People who were haunted by the grievances of the dead tended to be either grumpy or cranky. Le Yao didn't want to make a mistake that would offend Xu Yao and create more problems for himself. Since Uncle Ming and Xu Yao hadn't prohibited him from cooking, he should be able to use the ingredients in the kitchen to make some dishes.

Le Yao took a big frozen fish out of the refrigerator. He saw a Smart oven and studied it for a while. He discovered that it could be used to thaw frozen foods, so he put the fish in it and turned it on.

Maybe it was because of the wider sea area and the warmer climate, since there was a lot of seafood available here. There were not only fish, but also big crabs and lobsters in Xu Yao's refrigerator. Each one was bigger than the original ones he had seen on Earth. If Le Yao hadn't needed the white wine for his cinnabar solution, he would have liked to eat something else.

For several minutes, there were only feeble sounds coming from the kitchen. Everything Le Yao did was done very lightly and carefully, because he couldn't disturb the grumpy General.

Xu Yao didn't know how long he had sat just doing nothing in the living room. When he turned his head towards the kitchen, he saw his little wife who was busy preparing dinner. He saw that Le Yao had a big fish on the kitchen counter, and he was looking for something.

It was strange that Le Yao didn't seem to understand the fact that kitchen utensils were operated through smart technology. From this point of view, he looked like someone who had never been in the kitchen, but oddly, it didn't seem like it was his first time in such a place either.

"What are you looking for?" said Xu Yao, who had silently gotten up from the sofa, had stood behind Le Yao, and thus, startled the one who was focused on finding things.

"I…" Le Yao stood up straight as he gathered his thoughts after the shock, "I want to find a… Can you stand away first?"

Too fucking close! Who could withstand the pressure of an alpha?

"I haven't even touched you. What are you afraid of?"

"Have you ever seen a rabbit which is not afraid of a wolf?"

Being on guard is a natural instinct, okay?

"Ah, I see~" Xu Yao kept smiling, then uttered, "You're indeed just like a rabbit, your ears always turn red in front of me~" He glanced at the fish that hadn't been cleaned up and said, "You should cook the fish well. This fish is worth 650,000 yuan. If you make it unpalatable, I will eat y-"

"What? Six hundred and fifty thousand yuan?" Le Yao was so scared that he threw the onion out of his hand. Even if all his savings were added up together, he still wouldn't be able to buy two of this kind of fish!

Xu Yao didn't say anything anymore. He took out a bottle of iced beer from the refrigerator and went to the living room. Le Yao was left standing still in the same place and couldn't continue cooking dinner. He wanted to cry when he saw the fish on the counter. He wouldn't have chosen this fish in the first place if he had known it was so expensive. In case…

Shortly before Le Yao could faint from this scare, Uncle Ming entered the kitchen in time with two bottles of white wine in his hands.

When Le Yao saw the white wine bottles, his eyes widened. He rushed to take them from Uncle Ming's hand and immediately slipped into the bedroom. He also took the little dinosaur magic wand with him as he rushed to the bathroom.

Xu Yao shouted, "Why aren't you cooking the fish?"

Le Yao shouted as he shut the bathroom door with a bang, "That fish was so terrifying! I have to calm myself down first! Dinner can wait!"

Xu Yao looked at the fish that was worth 600 yuan at most and chuckled. It was fun to tease his little wife.

Uncle Ming, who felt a little confused with this situation, said, "General, Mr. Xiao Le is…"

Xu Yao raised his head and took a sip of his beer, "Maybe he's doing that God's Dance again."

Uncle Ming: "…"

Xu Yao sat down on the sofa and asked, "What were our people's opinions when I registered the marriage with him?"

Uncle Ming answered in a low voice, "What can I say about them? I still can't figure out about…" Uncle Ming continued as he looked in the direction of the bathroom, "I think he is not good for you. Are you sure about this marriage? Won't you regret it later? We have indeed been hoping for your marriage for several years, but we also know that this arrangement has been tampered by someone, and in case something happens in the future… "

"There's no need to worry about that. Do you think I be led around by a little Omega?"

Uncle Ming thought about it carefully. It was clearly impossible for the General to be controlled by someone else, but he still felt unsure. Since Le Yao had come into their life, he had always felt that they would experience a great change at Planet Huaxia.

Xu Yao noticed the worry on Uncle Ming's face and reassured him, "Just go back home if you have nothing to do. Tell our people to keep their mouths closed about this issue."

Uncle Ming nodded and left. As soon as he was about to go out of the main door, he saw a certain someone who walked to the bathroom's door and then put his ear against it!

Is this really what you call 'not going to be led around by a little omega?'
