Zusammenfassung

Angering a god takes guts, skill, and a pinch of curiosity. Such transcendent beings are quite tolerant of mortal antics, though in the case of Persephone, the Goddess of Flowers, she's got quite the temper. Angering her would mean eternal damnation and suffering. One day a young man called Leo, came upon Persephone's secret garden. Without knowing he had stepped into a god's domain, he decided to observe and smell the beautiful flowers of the garden. Upon finding out that someone had trespassed into her garden, Persephone was furious, deeming the garden as filthy and tainted because of a mortal's touch. She cursed Leo, making it so he would forever die and be reborn until every flower in her garden withered, an eye for an eye, a life for a flower. To the Leo of today, that was a long time ago, having had lived an epiphany of lives and was now on the final flower, a crystal rose with 18 petals, 18 years to his final life. All flowers must wither, even this curse, after all, even the most beautiful or retched flowers eventually all wither.

In the nineteenth century, Cora Marshall has set her affection on Wang Qin, who works for her father’s rubber plantation in Malaysia. Qin is hesitant to reciprocate her love due to his poverty and lack of status. Meanwhile, Xiao Mi, the young woman Qin’s mother has chosen for him, is determined that nothing will stop her from having Qin—even if she must sell her soul to do it! Sorrow comes and the ties holding all of them together in life have been broken. But some things transcend time. Reincarnation is their only hope of ever meeting again. In modern day, Ava Marshall survived a car crash but is left with a recurring dream of a Chinese man from the nineteenth century asking for her help. Her newfound interest in Chinese culture leads her to earn an undergraduate degree in Chinese studies. Upon her graduation she leaves America to earn a Master’s degree in Chinese Language at NUS in Singapore. There she meets new friends and a challenging academic environment. She also encounters Dr. Lawrence Wang, whom she is immediately drawn to. To her embarrassment, the next day she realizes he is no ordinary man, but her history professor. Dr. Wang at first feels frustrated with Ava and her bubbly personality but comes to see her for the intelligent young woman that she is. He also can’t help but sense that he knows her from somewhere. Just as they are beginning to know one another, tragedy strikes. Ava is left shocked and bereft when Lawrence is involved in an accident that ends his life. She feels in her heart that something isn’t right. Everyone assured her that foul play is the least likely scenario in peaceful Singapore, but Ava refuses to relent. On the seventh day of his death she encounters his parents at the columbarium. They recognize her to be the woman Lawrence had spoke to them about. That night Lawrence’s spirit comes to his mother in her dreams and asks her to help him accomplish an old traditional, but outdated custom. Fueled by grief and love for her son, she tricks Ava into a ceremony that will bind her to their family—and to Lawrence, for all eternity. Ava is frustrated and angry with the Wangs. But she still feels that Lawrence’s death was more than a simple accident, and she will stop at nothing to prove it. But will her tenacity cost her more than she bargained for? Can budding romance and mystery survive across time?

Timeless Garden: Blood Lily

Timeless Garden Series In the beginning, there was the empty, then came the light, and with the light came the darkness. Light -being - had been lonely for it only had its equal, Darkness which was nothingness, and so Light created. Being made the burning cosmos, the life-giving water, the varying planets, and many other beings. With it all Being made it again, and again till there was an infinite of its creations. Nothingness was forgotten in the absence of life and so Darkness did what darkness knows best, and consumed. Taking and taking the Darkness consumed till Being along with its favored creations tricked the Darkness. Betrayed by its equal Darkness remained trapped in a cage without form, state, and time. Life flourished and the Darkness was forgotten along with balance. The Light being the creator of life and worlds was deemed omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. It was this own self-belief that existed during the birth and death of worlds that made Light forget the fundamental law of its own existence; the need for balance. In the creation of a being most powerful from God’s own favored creations, God made a fatal error in bringing forward its existence. For every action, there is an equal opposite reaction. For a child born of order, there must be another born of chaos. And so the powerful preordained creation brought forward an opposite reaction of chaos and besieged the Light, taking it for its own and destroying the darkness in the process. Yet the abomination that was never meant to be had the opposite reaction of its nature; as the only equal, it accepted the place of the Darkness and brought forward order and balance for the sacrifice of becoming nothingness. Darkness Nothingness Oblivion Abyss They knew many names yet before it all when it was still mortal it search for it’s true name. The name it came to learn after trials and endless obstacles was one only the dead would know. Book 2: Blood Lilly There are beings that do not follow the same natural laws as humans. Time is one such law. The law of time that should something go back in time something must come forward, though small like a blade of grass or a butterfly. Or the most dangerous law of time is going forward because then the scales shift. By going forward something must go back. The price is far greater and often leads to death, it can be a virus, a deadly creature, or dangerous human. Since these beings do not abide by these laws they can form an entire life in the past or future. Though in order for time to heal from such disruption they are woven into the timeline. The longer they stay and the more they interact with the occupants the more they become part of the timeline. It is subtle but slowly they forget their past and the reason for their travels, they begin to see their lies as their history and the time as their present. Though the name is similar the person is not. Her past and mission forgotten, Diana falls deeper into the life constructed by others. Fleeing one war only to fight in another Diana must reevaluate everything she has come to know and decide on which wars are worth fighting. Yet she continually ponders one question, “Is anyone worth saving?”
