It was a gloomy night.

Inside the small dark room, there was a young man sleeping on the bed.

But, the next moment, his eyelids suddenly opened.

There was a strange expression on his face as if he didn't know what was going on. He felt the blood flowing through his hands. He felt his heartbeat.

He even felt like he didn't die.

But, this conflicted with the memories that he had.

"Wh-w-what happened?"

He slowly raised his upper body and sat on the bed looking into the dark. He quickly moved his right hand and tried to turn on the lights.

But, his hand didn't reach the table that should be next to him. Instead, his hand fell from the bed. Fortunately, he realized it quickly and pulled back his hand.

But, he was still stunned.

He had no idea what was going on here.

So, he decided to take a deep breath and calmed down.

'I am pretty sure that I died. My family had no money to support my treatment. They neither had a relationship nor money. That means I should be dead.'

'But, then why am I not dead? Wait, I don't think this is the size of my hand. It was still a little bigger than this.'

'Unfortunately, there are no lights here. There should be a window, right?'

The young man looked around.

His eyes searched for a small trace of light and he actually found it.

On his left side, there was a small trace of light coming from outside.

It was at the bottom of the bed but he still reached out. He felt the window and opened it.

This window was also made out of wood and had no metal rods. So, he was sure that it wasn't his room.

When he opened the window, the moonlight touched his face. He was stunned as he saw a massive forest outside.

'Now, I am completely sure that this isn't my place.'

He stared at his body and found that his hands were truly small and a bit pale as well. Normally, his hand should be a bit darker but no, it wasn't.

Then, he checked his body parts and eventually realized the complete difference.

'It doesn't seem like my own body. That means I truly died and reincarnate into another body.'

'Looking at the room, it doesn't seem like a rich family brat. But, that doesn't matter. What matters the most is that I don't have memories of this body.'

The entire house was made out of wood as well.

"Woah! I live in a forest." Looking at the tall trees surrounding him, Shin was stunned. But, this also made him feel a little better.

After all, this way most people won't know a lot about him.

Thinking about it, he couldn't help but greedily take a long breath. Looking at the nature around him, he felt extremely sad.

In his previous life, after that accident, he never got a chance to go out in nature. Spending most of his time on the bed was basically his life.

He jumped around. He ran. He walked. He climbed some trees. But, after hours of fun, he finally felt exhausted so he returned to his room.

He found some rice balls and some leftover meat. He cooked the rice and heat up the meat. After eating it, he finally decided to rest for a moment.

He fell on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

'Now, I have to think how I am going to survive in this world. I am not sure about anything in this world. But from that rice, I feel like there should be a town or a village nearby.'

'As for the meat, it should be the meat of some animals in this forest. Let's rest for half an hour and then leave!'

After deciding on it, Shin rested for over half an hour and finally left. Before leaving, he found some money underneath the bed.

Shin couldn't help but give them another look. But this time, he saw the emotions in those gazes. There was pity and helplessness.

'It seems like they don't hate me but rather feel pity for me. Well, I need to find more information about himself without making too many mistakes.'

Shin continued walking until he saw a pub.

Looking at the pub, he finally decided to go in. After all, this was a place where people often come and talk about the world.

The doors were opened so he directly walked in. When he entered, he saw a lot of people. Many people were drinking beer and wine. He found a chair in front of the counter which was empty.

As he walked forward, a voice came from behind the counter.

"Shin, are you alright?"

When this voice rang, everyone turned their eyes to him. This surprised him because he saw various emotions in their expressions.

He wondered what really happened. But since there was no anger in their expressions, he wasn't worried.

And, he was more concerned about the name. After all, his name was also Shin.

'It seems like both of us possess the same name. Not only name, but it also seems like we possess the same background as well. We both are poor.'

Thinking about it, he couldn't help but snicker.

It seemed like it was truly fate that he was reincarnated into this body.

He walked toward the counter and sat on the chair.
