Chapter 8

*FLASHBACK*

"Mom! I'm leaving"

"Take Ruru with you!" Mama, who is currently in the kitchen, shouted.

I approached Ruru.

"Let's go" I held my 6 year old brother's hand. Ruru's school is just close to mine.

My mom's really the one who's dropping Ruru in his school,but she's busy right now so I'm the one dropping Ruru in his school.

"Sister, isn't that brother Axle?" Ruru asked and pointed at some direction.

I saw Axle approaching us.

"Hi" He greeted me so I smiled.

"Brother Axle !!" Ruru immediately hugged Axle so I laughed.

"Haha! You look like a monkey, Ruru" I said.

"Your sister looks more like a monkey, doesn't she?" Axle asked my brother so I immediately rolled my eyes.

Axle is my childhood friend.We've been friends since 5 years old.My mom and his mom are friends.

But I'm a big liar if I say I didn't like him.

Although he always teased me, he was kind and gentleman.

"Is there a dirt on my face?" He asked me.

My face went red so I immediately looked away.

"H-huh..nothing"

I didn't even realize that we have already dropped Ruru to his school.

I was surprised when he suddenly messed up my hair. "Hahaha,let's go"

I thought I have already moved on with him, but it didn't seem to be.

When we arrived at our school, he immediately went to his section.

Unfortunately, we were not in the same class. I quietly went to my section.

"Rei ~" I smiled when Demi suddenly hugged my arm. She's my very first girl bestfriend. Actually, we became partners in a project and that's where our friendship started. He didn't treat me well at first but since we got a high grades because of that project ,we have become bestfriends.

"Demi ~" I laughed softly.

"I missed you ~"

"Demi, Franz told me to call you" A woman peeked into our section. I think she's Jinky of Section C.

Demi nodded.

"What's the problem with that man again?"

I laughed. "Maybe he just miss edyou"

"Maybe haha… I'll be right back, Rei!"

Smiling I sat down in my chair.

"She's friends with Demi right?"

"Are you stupid? Probably"

"Lucky"

"Agree"

I sighed.

Demi is very popular inside and outside the school. Her family is a well-known family when it comes to different aspects. In short, they are rich. As far as I know, her older brother is a famous actor while her sister is a lawyer. Her father is a politician.And that's why, no one dares to mess with Demi, or anyone close to him.

It's been a few hours but Demi still isn't coming back so I just shooked my head. I already know what happened to her, sighs.

After the morning class, I went to the rooftop to eat lunch. Since Demi and I became friends, I have been eating here with them.

"Rei !!" Demi immediately hugged me when she saw me.

"Sup Rei" Franz greeted me, Demi's boyfriend.

I was also greeted by some of their friends.

"I haven't been able to attend the morning class anymore… Franz and I had a good time earlier" Demi smiled at me and flexed her hickey.

I frowned. "What if the teachers sees that?"

"Psh— virgin" She frowned too.

"Hey Rei, want me to hook you with someone?" Franz asked while eating.

"H-huh no thanks .."

Jinky laughed. "Why? Do you have someone you like?"

"Omgg" Demi giggled and smacked my arms.

I pouted.

"W-no no '"

"I'm single, Rei" Lucas told me while smirking.He's Franz bestfriend.

"eh" I answered awkwardly.

"What are you guys, stop making her uncomfortable!" Demi told them and gave me my lunch.

This is always our set-up. Demi always orders our lunch. So that's it.

Months have passed and the exam is already near. Demi seems to have become distant from me. We don't talk that often anymore. If we talk, it's when she asks for something in my favor, which is okay. I'm happy that she's still talking to me, I thought she would just leave me on the air.

"Demi" When I approached her. She is currently talking to Agatha. Our new classmate.

"Yes?"

"Here" I smiled at her and handed over the home-work she asked me to do.

She immediately smiled and hugged me. "Thank you bestfriend !! I'm sorry if we can't talk anymore huh? I'm really busy eh" She snorted.

I laughed. "It's okay."

"Anyway, good bye" She said quickly and walked away with Agatha.

I can't help but to be jealous. It should be me walking with Demi..We're bestfriends,right?

"Hey! Are you okay?"

I was surprised when Axle suddenly appeared at my side.

"Do you really like surprising me huh?" I smiled at him.

"Haha sorry! But, what happened? You look sad"

I smiled a little. "It's nothing. I'm not sad don't worry '"

"You can't fool me, Gonzales" He smiled and ruffled my hair.

"It's really nothing serious" I said and removed his hand from my head.

"Will you watch my game later?"

"Do you have a game later?"

"Yeah, that's why I'm inviting you,right?" He pinched my nose.

I blushed a little.

In the afternoon, Sir Harold ordered me to bring these papers to Sir Jake's office.

"Sir good—"

I dropped the papers I was carrying, out of panic.

I caught Sir Jake and Demi kissing while she's on top of Sir Jake.

I was about to leave when Demi suddenly approached me and pulled my hair.

"A-ahh Demi" I winced.

"What? Are you going to report us? Huh?"

"B-but—"She slapped me.

I burst into tears and could not believe looking at her.

"Sir… I'll take care of it"

Sir Jake adjusted his polo before leaving as if nothing happened.

"D-demi are you crazy?"

She stared at me.

"Shut the fuck up b*tch" She angrily said to me.

"D-demi?" I asked crying.

She angrily kicked the chair near me. So I jumped in panic.

She grabbed my face.

"Demi..we're f-f-friend—"

She threw my face away.

"Friends my ass… Who told you that I've actually treated you as my friend? I don't make friends with cheap people like you. I just decided to be close to you because you have an advantage. You're smart and you're a teacher's pet. If I just don't have to pass this school year, I won't be close to you… Do you think I haven't noticed? You've been flirting with Franz since we broke up! And that's the reason why I'm so fucking mad at you! "

She slapped me again so tears falls down from my eyes.

"..you're wrong—"

"Oh come on! 'Don't be so light-headed!"

"Did you also know you were the reason we broke up?"

My eyes widened.

She laughed sarcastically. "I want to take those eyes, Rei…"

She grinned.

"Is Axle good in bed ...?"

I immediately grabbed her arm. "N-no! What are you—"

She grabbed my hair. "Be my dog… or, I will make a move on your Axle? Choose wisely, Rei" She smirked.

Tears welled up in my eyes.
