The library was big and had many number of book shelves with numerous books in them, Alaric just sat on a seat and just pointed what book he wanted to Shi Ya. Being diligent Shi Ya quickly brought the books Alaric wanted to see.

Shi Ya thought her young master must be just flipping the pages and looking for pictures but she would never have guessed that her young master could read and was just scanning the books with the help of nano.

Before nano activated, Alaric used to memorise these books with the help of his main body's Chaotic Mind, that's how he learned how to read and the correct phonetics, but after activating nano reading became a child's play to him. He could scan and store all the knowledge inside the library in a week at most.

After scanning a dozen books about the history and cultivation, Alaric had a general idea about this world, to not let anyone suspect him he left the library after flipping through a dozen books.

After having his lunch and sleeping for a few hours he spent some time messing around with shop function in the system as now he can do an exchange, with his avatar being in another world. Alaric tried to exchange the money notes of this world but as they have no value outside the empire the exchange failed. He came to a conclusion that the item that is being exchanged has to have some magical properties for the system to show a decent amount of ShopCoins as all the material things are only a decoration and beyond that they are useless. The weapons too were the same and based on the quality they gave the values of 0.3 to 0.8 ShopCoins. So Alaric stopped trying to scam the system by selling useless things otherwise his father, the Daimyo would have gone broke in a matter of weeks.

At night his mother came and they went to have dinner with their father as usual where they chatted and Alaric was mostly giving nods or speaking words his father couldn't understand and he just nodded to him feining his understanding. This did not go unnoticed by his mother or by Alaric for that matter as his mother gave a gentle smile with hidden intent to his father which made him gulp the saliva in his mouth.

Days passed by usual and Alaric continued his routine.

Today Alaric was 1 year(s) old and he saw his grandfather for the first time after his birth, his grand father was always in seclusion 24/7, he appeared to be old and thin with wrinkles but appearances can be deceiving, after Alaric scanned him with the help of nano he understood how strong his grandfather was.

Listening to her Alaric feigned shock and surprise then happiness and lastly cupped his hands in a clumsy manner and said " Grandchild pays respects to Grandfather"

"Hmm, good child. Your mother taught you well" Luo Longwei smiled a little and took out a jade pendant and passed it to Alaric and said

"This is my meeting gift and your father will give you a magical treasure which I gifted you after your birth. Be good and become a strong cultivator, I can see that you are a little special" he gave a kind smile and left.

'He doesn't seem to be a bad person, just worried about his lifespan' Alaric concluded and made his way for his birth day banquet where the entire mansion could be seen except his grand father. He received some gifts from his mother and father. His mother gave him a magical defensive treasure and his father gave him a magical offensive treasure with a seal on it which can be removed when necessary.

Like that Alaric was happy with his first birthday and content with his gifts.

The magical treasures can be graded into four grades with three levels, the Ordinary grade, Earth grade, Heaven grade and Mysterious grade. Each of these have low,medium and high levels. Magical treasures can be considered very expensive even Ordinary grade ones, but Alaric got three of them on his first birthday.

Due to him not being a cultivator his magical treasures can only be used with his parents help. Alaric equipped the defensive treasure and stored the offensive treasure inside the pouch which was a storage treasure and went to sleep peacefully.
