Still at the hospital, Kathleen's scrutinizing gaze pierced into Spider's eyes thoroughly as if she wanted to see what was imbedded in his soul.
Spider unconsciously flinched under the intensity of her gaze despite his tough demeanor.
"Have you ever heard of the term "second chance?" Spider heard when he was on the verge of losing his mind.
"Second chance? Is this what all these is about?" Spiders brow shot up in confusion.
"Now you're not making sense. You want to spare me?" To say he didn't believe her was an understatement. Rather, he felt she was enjoying the mind game she was playing with him.
"What else do you think I was doing all along?" Kathleen asked, clearly amused at the doubt in Spider's eyes.
"I thought you wanted me alive so that you can drill me."
Is that not the way it is usually done? After catching an enemy the enemy's life will be preserved in order to get information from him.
