As a young woman Adair Fox enters the civilization test, the most difficult test in the entirety of the Galactic Empire, in hopes of achieving that highest of honors and finally becoming eligible to meet her parents. During the test Adair acts out of desperation and uses a dangerous ritual to save her people, only to get betrayed by them shortly after. Unfortunately not only does Adair fail the test, but she also finds herself trapped in a void for thousands of years until she eventually meets up with another being. She makes a deal with the Reincarnation Machine, which allows her to go back in time and become a sorceress.

As they reached the end, Adair saw a ritual that appeared to be very similar to the one in the previous pyramid, but this one seemed to be much more intricate and had many different circles and symbols and moons than the previous pyramid. There also appeared to be other added symbols that she did not understand, but she figured that they were probably not something great.

While she did not have any experience with obtaining items through rituals, she knew that normally to sign off on a transfer of ownership, there was just a simple signature needed and not some elaborate process. And she assumed that it was still should be a fairly easy process in this world as well but who knows, maybe the ownership of items in this galaxy was highly restrictive, and extra precautions needed to be taken.
