Chapter 56

The way the lady said this was as if she didn't really have a choice in the matter, and her saying this to Adair was only a formality, and that did appear to be the case because she suddenly felt as if she was a back seat driver in her own body because she could still feel everything that was happening to her body but just wasn't able to do anything about it which was a really strange feeling.

Adair was also a bit curious about how this supposed savior was going to save her from this block of ice which was clearly quickly eating away at her body. She soon found out, though, because she felt a burning sensation throughout her body as what appeared to be stored energy in her wings left her wings and traveled like lightning through her body which caused Adair to scream out in pain.

While she was screaming in pain, she heard the voice say 'lightning not bad,' but that was it, and the pain continued to course through her body.
