The Forgotten Ability

As a young woman Adair Fox enters the civilization test, the most difficult test in the entirety of the Galactic Empire, in hopes of achieving that highest of honors and finally becoming eligible to meet her parents. During the test Adair acts out of desperation and uses a dangerous ritual to save her people, only to get betrayed by them shortly after. Unfortunately not only does Adair fail the test, but she also finds herself trapped in a void for thousands of years until she eventually meets up with another being. She makes a deal with the Reincarnation Machine, which allows her to go back in time and become a sorceress.

Chapter 50

When Cassandra said this, she was a bit shocked at first, but she realized that it made a lot of sense that she could do it. She was not quite sure how it worked, but it also made sense that it was able to pick Galactic Emperyon so quickly since all it had to do was peer into her brain while she was studying the flashcards, and it would have been able to gain access to the alphabet of her language along with many other grammar details which with its huge database of languages would make it fairly easy for Cassandra to figure out the rest of the holes in the language that she wasn't able to capture from Adair's brain.

This made Adair question if Cassandra could also read all the other children's brains, and if it could, why did Eion reject her so harshly? Because it was bugging her because it seemed like she had done nothing wrong, especially since Eion did not appear bothered that she was staying out of the battle between the big five and the Galactic Union.
