CHAPTER 8

On Saturday morning the preparation for Joyce birthday had been talking place, all her friends are in their house dressing for her in her mother's room.

The event planners was there also, decorating very where cooking and doing other things like that, Joyce's friend wore looking at her, applying make up.

"Wow you look beautiful" Bola commended.

"Yes, she looks like a Queen" Timi said.

"Let me just finish the make up, you will see how beautiful she is" Onida said .

"Yes oh!!" bola said

"Thanks! Thank you all!" Joyce said

Door opened and closed ,her mother entered.

"Good morning mummy" her friends greeted in chorus.

"Morning my children, how is your night?"

"Fine ma" they replied.

"My baby you look good"

"Thank you mom" Joyce showed her appreciation.

"I like you bead, simple and fine"

"I told you that it fine" Timi said.

"I just come to say hey" she left room going to living room to meet her guest when Joyfar crossed her way.

"Where is Joyce?" Jofar asked

"In my room" she answered

"Okay, I have been looking for her since" he went to his mother's room.

"I have not see Olu" Joyce said.

"May be traffic jams" Time said.

"I think so, he should be here by now" Joyce said.

"Don't worry everything will be fine" Onida said.

knocked at the door for the first time and knocked again.

"come in" Bola said and he entered; left the door opened.

"My brother, good morning"

"Good morning brother " others too greeted.

"Morning, you are looking good"

"Thank you brother"

"Is you that we are waiting for, so be fast"

"Okay we are coming" Joyce said.

"It remain small, some minutes please" Onida said.

"Just be fast" he left and closed

"Onida be fast please" Joyce said.

"Okay am coming, a minute" Onida said,

"Let go she have done, get up" Bola said.

They left the room, her father and mother are in living when they saw them coming other guest were outside playing music for them and serving them small chops, her father hug her.

"Welcome my beautiful daughter" her father said, Olu entered greeted her father in normal way.

"Thanks daddy" Joyce said.

"Good morning everybody" Olu said.

"You come late" Joyce said.

"Am very sorry, it is traffic"

"Okay i hear you and i also think so"

"You look beautiful and the bead is nice"

"Thank you my love" Joyce said.

"Let go!, they are waiting for you outside" Tina said.

"Let go, don't let us waste their time" Onida said and they left the home, door locked.

A young lady stood up leaded Joyce and her friend to where they will sat and a man stood up on the staircase, the DJ stopped the music and everybody pay attentions to the man.

"Now, as will all know that Joyce is the one doing birthday today so she need to come out; please Joyce come up here" She stood up and Bola Followed her; stood beside her.

"Her cloth look beautiful" Mrs Toymat said.

"Yes very fine and simple" Mr Toymat said.

"So give your glory to God and other people that you want to give your thanks to" MC said.

"Good afternoon everybody" Joyce said.

"Afternoon, our beautiful lady" everybody said.

"I thank God for today and i give glory to him for making me be to this time "

"We thank God" everybody said.

"My family and all my friends thank you very much for been with me, love you all" said with happy voice.

"Love you too, we love you" they said in chorus and she gave the microphone back to the MC and went to their seat.

"The father and mother of this child should come up to bless her" they stood up and went to the M. C.

"Good afternoon everybody" her father said standing beside the MC.

"Afternoon" they said.

"My daughter this will not be your last birthday on earth" he said with happy voice.

"Amen! Amen!! Amen!" They shouted.

"You will live long in good health"

"Amen!!!! Amen!!!"

"Thank you everybody for been here" her father said and went back to his seat.

"I give glory to God" her mother said.

"You are welcome" everybody said.

"My baby, you will live long"

"Amen!!!! Amen!!!! Amen!!!"

"You will not die before me, me too will not die now"

"Amen!!! Amen!!! Amen!!!"

"Thank God for today" her mother said. She went back to her position and sat beside her husband.

"We thank God" others said in chorus.

"So the next thing is to cut the cake" MC said with happy voice going to left and right.

"Sorry Joyce, you need to come up again" M. C said and she stood up with her friends.

"Come up be fast" one boy said.

She stood at the front of the cake and her friends stood around her; the photographer set his camera to them.

"Now say with me J!!!!!! O!!!! Y!!!! C!!!!! E!!!!"

She cut off the cake and everybody shouted, started singing and dancing. They went to the living room, her father sat on the chair.

The event planners were outside serving the people that were outside.

"Happy birthday my baby" Mrs Toymat said and left the living room with her husband.

"Happy birthday dear" Timi said.

"Thank you all, am so happy" she said.

"Take this is my gift" Joyfar said. She opened it.

"Wow, thank you" she hug him.

"My mother said i should give you this and this is mine"

"I love this bracelet" she said.

"Wow!! It look beautiful" Onida said.

"Tell mummy that i love it"

"Anytime you come tell her by yourself"

"Okay then no problem"

"This cloth looking beautiful" Bola said.

"Uhu, i love this cloth" Joyce said.

"Wow!!! I feel it" Timi said.

"Thank you Olu" She said.

"You are welcome" he said.

"Where are daddy and mummy?" Joyce asked looking at Joyfar.

"They have went to their room" Joyfar answered.

She stood up and went to their room door Opened.

"Mom see this bracelet" Joyce said.

"It beautiful my baby" her mother said

"Very fine" her father commented.

"Is Olu's mother that give me as my birthday gift"

"This bracelet is very expensive" her mother said.

"Really" said with low voice.

"Yes! very expensive bracelet, you can't see it anywhere it was made just only once in a year"

"This bracelet that am holding"

"Yes my baby"

"Mummy bought when she go to New york" Olu said.

"That is the only place you can get it including USA also you can get it here"

"I love it" Joyce said.

"Mummy, me and my friend are going out after this party" Joyce said.

"Okay, no problem tell your daddy before you left" their. father have left the room to join his guest outside.

"I have already told him" Timi said.

"Okay then, I need a rest"

"Let go outside and join others" Olu said.

"rest mom bye!, let go outside" Joyce said.

They left her room and went to Joyce's room packed all what they will need for the outing inside a bag, entered into the car and the driver drove out from the house, Joyfar too followed them including Olu too.
