Chapter 46

After breakfast we took our coffees into his living room. That was when, for the first time, that I really took in the sizeof his collection of DVDs. One entire wall was covered with a shelf that contained nothingbut DVDs.

“Wow!”

“I love watching movies.”

I looked at him, nodded, feeling my eyes tear up.

“What?”

I shook my head. “Nothing. It’s just—George did, too.”

Zvika came over and pulled me into a hug.

“I’m not kidding, either,” he said as he held me. “About movies, I mean. I can spend an entire day watching movies, and call it a day well spent.”

I almost laughed. He couldn’t keep his mind on the misery about George. But then, he wasfacing the DVD shelf. I shook my head mentally, and decided that being like that wasn’t a bad thing.

“I’d probably feel guilty,” I said. “And a bit disoriented.”

He was silent for a while, but when he released me, he held me by both hands and looked at me.

“What say we try it?” he grinned. “It’s one journey after another. Amazing!”
