Layla closed the door behind her as soon as Lord Ahan Nasir entered the small room.
"Why did you bring me here?" Ahan sighed, looking around at the cramped space. He didn't expect the princess, who cared so much about luxury, to bring him to such a shabby room.
The room Layla brought him to had only one small light, casting a dim glow. It was plainly decorated with minimal furniture, lacking the opulence of the royal palace. Perhaps, it was a space seldom used by the priests due to its modest condition.
"Ahan," Layla said, trying to make her voice sound softer compared to her usual self who seemed distant and cold. Her tone was often filled with arrogance in the past whenever she called his name. She saw him as nothing less than an insect.
The young lord let out a soft scoff.
