"Take me there," Gloria ordered, her tone sharp enough to make the maid flinch.
"Y-Your Grace! Please try to understand! I really can't do this!" the maid stammered, her lips trembling and her hands nervously fidgeting with her uniform.
"Duchess," Zahra said gently, pulling Gloria back to the couch.
Gloria glared at the crown princess, her frustration evident. Though her anger wasn't directed at Zahra, the duchess found it hard to control her emotions whenever something involved Claude.
Gloria had always been composed, even in her childhood. But meeting Claude had changed her. He taught her to live openly, to take pride in herself and her work, and most importantly, to love—an emotion her father had always kept from her and Yuden.
Zahra loosened her grip around the silver-haired young woman, pulling her hand away.
