Chapter one: Cry baby

The sound of a baby's crying echoed throughout the luxurious mansion, as the maids and butlers were preparing for one of the huge celebrations of the country. It was the young, little miss's 100 days celebration and the girl of the hour has been crying ever since she woke up. She would only stop if her parents or brothers are by her side. If you leave her in the hands of the nanny she would scream the roof off. "I'm coming. You can ask the nanny to bring her down, I will feed her on the couch." Said the mother of the child.

"Yes madam. I will tell them now," said the head of staff, Butler Fu. He has been working in this family all his life. He has never heard a baby cry like that. He walked to the European-style sitting room to get to the stairs, as he walked up he could hear baby cries get louder and louder. He was starting to wonder if he had to buy earplugs for himself and every single servant in the house. He passed two doors to get to the castle-like door, in front of the door was pasted a huge pink castle with the baby's journey from the tummy to the hands of the parents. All the ultrasounds on how she grew, to the moment when she first came into this world, and how her parents held her for the very first time. The Mu family has not been able to bring a girl into the world in all their years of marriage, the other families thought that they were cursed. When Old Madam Mu heard that First Madam Mu was pregnant, she thought it would be another boy.  She just phoned and congratulated the madam on birthing another member of the family. When she heard that the First Madam had given birth to a girl she was so excited, you could see the smile on her face. Last night when the family was having dinner, the Old madam had no appetite. She couldn't let go of the baby. She didn't even hug her grandson like that he was a baby he said that would teach her bad habits. Butler Fu snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the door open as the nanny and screeching baby came out. The nanny seemed to be at the brink of tears" Butler Fu, I don't know what to do anymore, I've tried everything! She won't take the bottle that madam had left or calm down. I had such a battle to dress her up. She has been making a fuss ever since madam left her with me to go get ready for the celebration." 

"Don't worry, Madam sent me to tell you that you must bring the First young miss downstairs, she will feed her there. Is this what madam said the First young miss must wear?" asked Butler Fu as his eyes fell on this bundle of noise in the nanny's arms. The First young miss was decorated in a pink jumpsuit with rabbit ears on it. Underneath it was a white long sleeve and pink shoes. She looked so adorable that Butler Fu couldn't pull his eyes away from her. He almost forgot why he came up. 

"Yes sir, Madam said that this is the first young miss who is going to meet new people, she must make a good first impression" the nanny replied. She softly grinned as she glanced down at the crying baby in her arms. She handed the baby over to Butler Fu, who cradled the First miss and proceeded to take her down to her mother. and 

Butler Fu holding her just made the First miss cry even more and anything he tried to soothe her failed miserably. It just made it worse. The high-pitched cries and her poor reddened face made Butler Fu start to become anxious. So much so that he rushed down the stairs, to where the Madam was in the sitting room and handed the First miss over to her. 

" Madam, forgive me. I couldn't stop her crying" pleaded Butler Fu as he held her out to Madam Mu. 

Madam Mu smiled as she took her baby from the butler and started to sing a nursery rhyme. SThe First miss finally starts to calm down and coos to her mother as Madam Mu places the baby's hand around her tiny little fingers. "There we go. All is well with the world my little one.....You are safe in my arms and no one will hurt you while I'm here" said Madam Mu said as she twirled with her baby in her arms.

"Madam, all the preparations are finished. Would you like to come and check if everything is done correctly?" asked one of the maids who came into the sitting room. She smiled when she saw the madam and young miss dancing. "First Madam is lucky," she thought. As Madam Mu was dancing happily, another maid rushed in to break the bad news. ….."First Madam….um, the Old Master is with Old Madam and...Old Mistress." Said the other maid nervously.
