The Extra’s Survival: Logging into the Game Master System!

The Apocalypse descended as the world turned into a game. And while everyone panicked, I couldn’t help but wonder if there was something wrong with my eyes. [Logging into the Game Master’s Account!] And my ‘oh-so-average’ destiny, changed into ‘is this a cheat life?’ Kind of destiny. [Would you like to Create a Skill? GM Points will be consumed!] While others struggled to kill a single goblin, I was searching for stronger monsters. While they were happy with getting even a random weak skill, I was customizing what kind of skills I needed. Even my Talents and Gifts can be customised. The only limit was my imagination. Heck, even the hidden quests that people would trigger randomly were present in front of me even before the scenario began.  It wasn’t fair by any means. But isn’t that how life is already? [Would you like to make changes to the quests in the next scenario? GM Points will be consumed!] Is this how an apocalypse is supposed to be? I don’t know. I just tried following the script in front of everyone while trying out my cheat in hindsight. Don't get me wrong with the ‘pig eating tiger’ kind of thing. I just don’t like attention. I would rather stay with two trusted friends than with 10 fake ones. [Would you like to Initiate a Custom quest for the Players? GM Points will be consumed!] And for the players who were bullying the ‘weak’ me. One may even wonder how they ended up losing half of their stats and skills in a randomly triggered impossible type of quest.  Fate can be truly scary, you know?  One must always be careful of it.

[V/S The Goblin King!]

[You have marked (Gira: The Goblin King) As the target of the hunt with 5 Points!]

Feeling the increased stats, I felt my body overwhelmed with power. It was a refreshing feeling, as if I had returned 'home' once again. Every fiber of my body felt happy.

I looked at that goblin king about 500 meters away from me. Standing at the top of that humongous Pelikan. His eyes narrowed at me, his gaze filled with mockery.

I was going to cover the entire distance within the next few seconds. Shooting from here will result in wastage of a lot of mana. But before I could do so, I saw that goblin standing up from that throne-like chair.

He then took out two small axes that glowed red In color, their handles made up of an ugly rope like material. I saw patterns forming on his body that traveled all the way to the axes, making them shine brighter with each passing moment.

The chains attached to the axes grew bright red, the sharp ends of the axes glowed brighter as their size increased. First as big as that goblin's arm, before enough to reach a little less than half of his body.

'Assuming it functions the same as all the other weapons I have seen before, let's expect the chains to increase or decrease in length as the mana is adjusted. Same goes for the length of the blades,' I made a note as I saw him jumping up from that pelikan, before he landed on one of the buildings about 200 meters ahead of me.

-BOOOM!!!

A huge crater appeared but the roof did not break. Meanwhile, he began swinging the axes with the chains as walked one step at a time towards me, before he hurled them at me with all his might.

-Whoosh!

With the increased speed that I had now, I jumped forward. In a direction similar to the goblin but different from the trajectory of those axes. Though that goblin smiled before pulling the chains, such that the trajectory of those axes shifted towards mine again.

Landing on the floor of the next building, I immediately did a side flip, barely dodging those axes, before I stood on my feet again. My eyes fixed on that goblin king, I pointed my guns in his direction, before two shots filled with 100 MP each were fired.

The shots reached that goblin, hitting them on his face, barely grazing him.

"Tch!" I clicked my tongue before narrowed my eyes at him as he looked in my direction with a mocking smile on his face. It was getting on my nerves but I still maintained my calm. If I lose my control, I can lose my life here.

'Well, that didn't go as planned,' I thought as I wanted to at least make him bleed a little.

I saw him pulling those taxes back, before he started rotating them in circles in the air above him. Perhaps he was ready to make another attack? Probably. It's not like I was doing anything different. Though this time, I decided for him to attack first, or else I might get trapped in the air while he freely swings his axes at me.

That Humongous Pelikan was nowhere to be seen as well. And that Cyclops that had the chief was also gone. I haven't seen them for quite some time now.

-Whoosh!

The axes came in my direction again, before I started running as well. Though this time, I timed my jump making sure he won't be able to trap me in the air. The axes passed me first, and then I jumped with a dash, skipping one of the buildings and reaching the next one, adjacent to where that goblin king was.

-BOOOM!!!

Though this time, rather than bringing the axes closer to me, he too jumped one building, reaching near me in an instant. 'Fuck!' I didn't even have the liberty to panic. Even though my heart beat increased, I focused on the attack coming from behind.

[Twin Guns: (Mana Guns -> Twin Blades)]

Changing them into blades, I then poured 2000 Mana before deflecting those incoming axes away from me.

[-200 HP!]

"Shit!"

But still they inflicted heavy damage on me. I looked at that goblin, still looking down at me. My eyes staring deeper into his, I saw him raising his weapon at me again.

-Whoosh!

-BOOM!!!

Dashing from there, I circled around him, barely doding his attack that destroyed the entire roof in front of him, while I wondered what could have happened if I was even moments late.

He was strong, skilled, and presumably had an insane defense as well. If I needed to pierce that defense, I needed to get closer to him. Enough to hit him properly, but not too close to be in his reach.

'I need a chance,' I calmed my breath as I looked at him from the side, standing there without moving an inch. The axes in his hands were once again swirling at an insane speed, while I decided to run faster somehow reaching behind him, at a blindspot from where I would have some chance of getting closer.

-BOOOM!!!!

And in an instant, without turning back, he threw those axes at me again, while I barely dodged them by a few inches. My eyes deepened as I made the decision to attack in the little time frame where he calls his axes back.

Shifting my direction of run, I now dashed towards him, hoping to reach before he could retract those axes. With my parkour skills, I saw the best way to dodge those chains even if he whirled them at me. And using these points to my advantage, I side stepped left, before dashing even faster.

I saw him pulling back those axes in an instant. With the mana at work, it didn't even take a second to retract those axes. It was a bit frustrating… but it was still fine. Even if he can call his back weapon, his face is still open now.

[Twin Guns: (Twin Blade -> Burst Mode)!]

Pointing that gun on his face, I pulled the trigger as fast as I could.

-BOOOM!!!

It wasn't the gun that made the sound, but the bursting of his arm that he placed between the trajectory of the gun and his face. One of his arms fell off, while his dark blood was gushing out like a fountain, coloring my face all black. Though rather than being in pain, he stood there. His fiery eyes kept gazing at me, while he tightly held the battle ax in his other hand.

"One down. One more to go," I mumbled with a smile but before I could even move the humongous pelikan appeared out of nowhere, picking up the goblin by his other arm and carrying him away from me.

"No you don't!" I pointed that gun at him again but it didn't work. I forgot. The recovery time was still there. Narrow my eyes at him as I got myself in a defensive stance.

I wondered if there was a new attack pattern from the boss monster but to my surprise, I saw a black portal opening in the sky from where both the goblin and the pelikan escaped.

"?"

For a few seconds, I just stayed there without making any movements. Was this all? Or was there more to it? I gave it a few more seconds before deciding that I shouldn't waste time and look for that chief. Maybe my answers lay there?

Though before I could do that.

"You really drove away the Goblin King, huh? How unfortunate," came up another goblin, the white one who was watching us from the very beginning. And then looking deeper into my eyes he asked,"Player Adrian. Would you like to make a deal with me?"
