Gifts for Ye Han

James and the others only shook their heads, speechless at her answer.

They thought she was counting the time slowly, and they could only wait for her answer since James asked her this time.

"The caravan will leave in six hours. If you want, I could ask the caravan to let you join." Ye Han answered immediately after seeing that his daughter couldn't count the time and gave a suggestion. 

"Thank you, but there's no need to do that. It takes too long to get there, I am planning to go there right away after this." James politely declined. 

"Then, how about me and my brother accompanying you? He knows the way to get there too. However, we may encounter beasts and be forced to kill them before continuing the journey." Ye Ling'er instantly proposed an idea that came to her mind after hearing James's answer. 

James was surprised by her suggestion. However, he hesitated because it would mean taking responsibility for the sibling's safety, and they had just met.

Even he won't let someone accompany his little sister in this cruel world since he believes the human heart is the most unpredictable thing in the world, and he doesn't trust anyone except his little sister. 

"Can you tell me about the caravan's strength?" And how powerful are the beasts they regularly encounter?" James asked Ye Han seriously. 

He was concerned that they might encounter strong beasts, like high or peak rank 4. Despite his confidence in dealing with low or mid rank 4 beasts, he wasn't confident in his strength since he didn't know his limit yet and hadn't met a beast with that difference in rank. 

James also knew that the strongest person in this town was a peak rank 4, and there was a possibility that the caravan's leader had a high cultivation level because they needed a strong person to guard against powerful beasts along the way.

"The caravan leader has reached mid rank 4 Elite Martial Warrior. They rarely encounter beasts, and even if they do, most are around rank 3. If they're unlucky, they might face a Low-level Gold Rank Beast.

Because, occasionally some of the strong people in town sweep the road's perimeter, clearing strong beasts as it's the only route to the nearest city." Ye Han explained. 

James was relieved and spoke seriously to Ye Han, "Senior Ye Han, could I borrow Ye Wudi for a while to show me the way to Mortos City? Don't worry, I promise I will protect him and guarantee that nothing will happen to him. Of course, I will pay you a high price for this." 

"This... I'm sorry, Young Master James. But, it will depend on him whether he wants to go or not, as I can't make a decision for him." Ye Han spoke apologetically and immediately asked Ye Wudi, 

"Ye Wudi, do you want to accompany Young Master James to Mortos City? Don't worry about your safety, as he is stronger than me and has already said he can guarantee your safety." 

Ye Wudi was taken aback by his father's decision and asked, "Dad, can I really go with Young Master James?" 

"Yes, don't worry. Young Master James is not a bad person." Ye Han replied with a smile. 

"Okay then, I'm willing to accompany you to go there. As for the payment, could you teach me martial..." However, before Ye Wudi could finish his sentence, his father smacked his head.

"Don't you dare ask for a reward from Young Master James. He had saved me before, and we couldn't pay anything as we are not rich. How could you ask for something from him? Did I teach you to behave like that?" Ye Han angrily scolded Ye Wudi for behaving inappropriately. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't teach my children well enough. My son is a martial arts fanatic, since he only thinks about becoming stronger and nothing else." Ye Han explained. 

James laughed and replied, "It's okay, I will give you a martial skill book later, after we have done everything." 

Ye Wudi's eyes lit up when he learned that James wanted to give him a martial skill after this. He really desired to learn stronger martial arts, however, due to his circumstances, he could only learn what he had.

While chatting, James also ordered Little Fluffy to buy a few things for Ye Han as a gift because he was really a good person and brave enough to entrust his child's safety to him after only meeting him this morning.

More importantly, even though these items should be precious to Ye Han, they were worthless in his eyes, and not expensive enough to have any impact on him.

"Senior Ye Han, this is a gift and a payment for everything that you've done so far. Don't reject them, they're just a few useless items that mean nothing to me."

Ye Han was shocked to see the items since he could tell that these items were extraordinary at a glance and could even compete with the items of some of the town's powerful rank 4s.
