They were still there. But to the naked eye they weren't. This was due to the effect of the light force which had now turned to a barrier shielding traces of their existence.
The light force also acted as a mirage of a netherland to a being with lesser spiritual energy. The scenery, a dark hallucinating space, had glitters with most of them taking up the rainbow effect. And this alone made it akin to space of the real world.
Brent, on noticing the new environment he was in, took few stops backward in terror. His backward steps made him lose his steps, tripping on his butt in the proceed.
Even though the space they were occupying in the real world wasn't really wide, the hallucination has created such wide environment that he was able to move as he wish.
