Chapter Two

I stepped inside the castle and was immediately bombarded by other princesses. As I suspected they were all wearing extremely fancy ball gowns most in the color blue but I saw a few red ones like mine and many greens. 

"Are you a fire, water, earth, or air?" asked one of the princesses 

"None," I responded

"Unsorted is over there." Someone else said, pointing to a giant sign that said unsorted on it.

"Thanks," I said sarcastically

"Of course!"

How idiotic are these people? I pushed through a bunch of them, headed to the sign, and sat on the floor just as the prince walked in. Everyone hurried over to their areas and only two other princesses came to my space.

"The first test is a test of honesty." the prince announces "As you can see I have sorted you into groups based on your powers. Now I will test if you were telling the truth."

He walks to the fire group which only has 5 people in it. He tests each by making them display their power. Surprise surprise they were all telling the truth. Nobody wants to be a fire marrying a water. It just doesn't work. He went to air next which again had only 5 people in it. All told the truth. Same for earth which had 10. Then he went to water which was overflowing with people. By the time he was done there, there were only about 30 people there and a whole lot less in the room. He walked right past the unsorted section as there was no way to test if we were lying.

"Next is a test of beauty. I've had identical dresses prepared for each of you so I will be able to see your beauty."

He handed each person a dress that was plain white and very simple. He showed us to a line of fitting rooms and we each got changed. He then handed each girl a makeup wipe and all wiped their makeup off. He walked down the line sending some girls to his right and some to his left. I ended up in a group of about 15 other girls. All the rest of the princesses were sent out the door.

"The final test is a test of personality." He said, "I will talk to each of you individually and select my princess based on your personality."
