The Underwater Cave

Looking at the underwater cave, a sense of doubt gave birth to my heart. 

In my past life, has there been something like this? Cave underwater? Near out hut?

In my past life, there was no such news or information that got leaked about the existence of the cave underwater nearby. I was completely new to this. 

There were only two things that possibly could explain this; either someone discovered it but didn't tell or because it was far from the mainland where the village was constructed and no one found it. 

Anyway, I needed to take a look. 

With a swing of my hand, my body changed its direction and pointed towards the mount of the cave. I don't know if there was danger waiting for me inside, but I still wanted to take a look. 

In every profit, there was always danger with it. The more dangerous the path, the more you could gain. I don't know who made that phrase, but I also believe it. 

I drove my body with the swings of my feet. 

I just finished my exercises and I didn't have too much time to have a rest a while ago, if not for my aptitude for swimming, I dare not go this far. 

I need to hurry! 

With the compass of my feet and the lead of my hand, my body was able to reach the mouth of the cave. 

Huh?! 

The shock made my whole body tremble a little. 

There was something as if an invisible barrier that made the water unable to penetrate the unsafe of the cave. It can't enter yet and was being held like a wall. 

Hopefully, it seemed only the water was being suppressed, and I entered without any restriction. 

Although it wasn't the first time for me to see such an underground cave-like this, I still ended up getting off guard because I didn't think that there was something like this nearby. 

Every place like this has something mysterious hidden in the depths. Such a place like this was simply a treasure. 

However, it also means danger. 

Just as I entered the cave and my feet stepped on the ground, a terrifying wind blew in my face that made the hair all over my body stand up in fright. Goosebumps. 

I didn't expect it either. 

First, I didn't feel or guess that there was something like this from within. The original idea I created when I felt something was off under the lake was wrong. So I said I didn't expect it. 

But after seeing that there was a cave underneath the lake, that was when the idea that there was not only wealth beneath, but also a guardian. A guardian of sacred places like an underwater lake.  

Right now, because I already reached the place anyway, then I can only continue.

Backing out wasn't an option. Once you enter a sacred place, you won't be able to come out without the permission of the guardian. It was either ask him to let you out or kill him. 

"Who are you?! " 

A voice echoed in the cave coming from the depth and range in both sides of my ears as if a word from a terrifying existence. 

Although it gave me a bit of chill, I remained calm and acted as if the terrifying wind didn't even make me feel the danger. As if it didn't even exist in the first place. 

"Who am I? Haha! This is the first time someone ever asked me that rudely! " 

"You are the one who barged into someone's turf without permission, yet you are the one who has the guts to ask such a question?! " 

"A trespasser asking the owner?! Hahaha! " 

The voice and the laughter were devilish. I can understand where he was coming but I don't care. 

In this world, if I don't have guts, there weren't use in having you alive. If you don't have guts, you don't deserve to waste oxygen. If you don't have the guts, just stay in your home and drink milk for your whole life! 

I am Leo, once and destined to be supreme again in this life! 

Having this in my mind, the small fear and meditation that formed within my heart was suppressed within a second and disappeared like smoke. Not even a shadow of doubt left. 

"Haha! Don't you want to show courtesy to your visitor?! Old man, you are rude! " 

"No wonder you are living in this place alone! " 

The whole cave turned silent. 

"You! " 

"You not only called me an old man, but you also wanted to say that I am nothing but a loner?! " 

"A brat that dares to speak that way to me deserves to die! " 

Like thunder amidst the silence, the voice exploded, and a more terrifying energy or aura blew towards my way. 

Waitt~ 

I hastily put energy in my feet and jumped towards another corner of the cave. 

I don't dare to get hit by that aura. 

It can kill my little mortal body once accidentally crushed. 

Cold sweat broke out on my forehead as I thought that I almost died. 

Hehe! 

I think I have overdone it. My guts and my power weren't a good combination. 

Hopefully, my mind and body were trained with the experiences I have, so I was always ready. 

Sigh* 

That was close! Hopefully, I avoided it! 

"Mhmm, you sure have something within you! At the very least, you are just a frog in a well! " 

I don't know if it was praise or a joke, but the guardian that I don't know how it looks like seemed moved. 

Anyway, I have to always remember that I am now a mortal again. Although I have a way to become supreme again, I still have to evaluate all my actions or else, I should rather forget about tomorrow. 

Before thinking of what to do tomorrow, I should think more about what to do at the current time. 

"Although that was nothing impressive, I will give you a chance. Say, what brought you here?! "
